The radio keeps restarting
or stops on the logo?
Does the logo keep appearing on the screen, and the radio never fully starts? Or does it play for a moment, then switch itself off and restart? Describe which of these situations you see — that will help us begin the check.

The logo does not disappear or keeps coming back
These are two different situations. Write whether the image stays fixed or the radio keeps trying to start every so often. A short video of the start-up, recorded while parked, will show the difference clearly.
The radio only switches off after a while
Say how long it works for and what you use just before it switches off. It is important whether the problem always appears after a similar time, or for example when opening navigation or playing music.
The problem appears after connecting a phone
Write whether it is Bluetooth or USB, and whether the radio works normally without the phone. Add the phone model and whether the same setup worked without problems before.
We will check the exact radio model
A similar start-up logo does not mean the two units are the same. A photo of the front panel and the available part number will help identify the version. We will confirm whether we can accept it before you send it.
You will know the cost before the repair
If we can accept the radio, after checking it we will present the possible repair and the price. Repeated restarts do not have to mean buying a replacement straight away. It is worth checking your own unit first.
Examples of repairs to factory units
Repair of MIB STD2 PQ – touch not working | VW, Skoda, Seat
Are you trying to enter an address in the navigation, but half of the keyboard does not respond? Do you want to set a radio station manually, but the slider stops halfway and will not move any further?
Repair of Ford ACM module — no sound, crackling
No sound in a Ford Kuga, Escape, Ranger or Lincoln? It may be dry joints on the PCB of the Panasonic ACM module — not a radio replacement. Refurbishment 984 zł, 1-3 days, 24-month warranty.
Mercedes Logic7 amplifier repair – no sound
No sound in a Mercedes W221 or W216? The Logic7 amplifier may be to blame. See why it fails, how professional refurbishment is carried out, and why it is worth repairing rather than buying a used unit.
BMW amplifier repair – Harman Kardon, Top Hi‑Fi, Logic7 – no sound after water ingress
Water in the boot and a blown 40A fuse are a common cause of silence in the radio. Find out when repair makes sense — free diagnostics and a quote within 24h.
From Łódź to the workshop and back
01
You report the problem
Send a photo of the radio, give the model and year of the car, and describe what is not working. If you do not know the name of the unit, we will help identify it. We will tell you whether we deal with this equipment and what needs to be sent for inspection. We usually reply within 24 hours on working days.
02
You prepare the unit
Once we have established what needs to be sent, you can have the unit removed by a local workshop. Protect the screen and connectors, and pack the unit so it cannot move inside the box. Follow our guidance in the packing instructions.
03
You hand over the parcel
We can arrange a courier on request. Provide the parcel collection address and the address to which we should return the unit. If a workshop is sending it, please also agree who we should contact about the repair price.
04
You decide on the repair
We inspect the unit and provide a repair price. You decide whether to proceed. Once you approve, we repair the unit and test it before return. If anything still does not work after installation, contact us and describe the problem.
You know the cost first.
Then you decide.
Repair after quote approval
Before dispatching, we give an estimated cost. After checking the unit, we confirm the price and wait for your approval.
Decide not to go ahead? You pay nothing for diagnostics or postage
If you decide against the repair, the unit cannot be repaired, or the fault lies elsewhere, diagnostics and return postage are free.
You pay after the repair
By bank transfer before the unit is sent back, or cash on delivery on receipt. We issue a VAT invoice.
24
months' warranty for selected repairs
We provide a 12- or 24-month written warranty for the repair carried out and the parts replaced — in line with the offer for your unit.
Show the unit and describe the problem.
The radio shows the logo, switches off and then tries to start again after a moment? This repeated start-up attempt is often called a boot loop. If the logo stays on the screen all the time, describe it as the radio freezing during start-up. Also write whether it sometimes shows the menu and plays music. That matters more than knowing the technical name of the fault — you do not need to work out what has broken yourself.
Radio keeps restarting or freezes on the logo
Write down what you see when starting and using the radio:
- The logo does not disappear and the radio does not show the menu
- The logo disappears and comes back again
- Music plays for a moment, then the radio restarts
- The image stays on, but the radio does not respond
- The radio restarts after using a specific function
- After disconnecting the power, the problem returns
Can't see your problem here? Describe it in your own words. We'll check whether we can help.
Do similar restarts mean the same fault?
No. Two radios may freeze on the logo, yet require different repairs. We have been asked about such faults in COMAND NTG2 and Composition Media, among others. The symptom name is not enough to choose the parts or the procedure. We need to identify the radio version, learn about any previous repair attempts and inspect the unit.
If the radio works for a while, describe the moment when it switches off. Does it happen after a similar amount of time, after opening navigation or while playing music? A short recording while parked can show one such cycle. If it takes a long time, a description with an approximate time is enough. You do not need to start the unit repeatedly to prepare a long video.
If the problem appears after connecting a phone, say whether you use Bluetooth or USB, and give the phone model. Write whether the radio also restarts without a connection and whether the same setup worked properly before. This information helps plan the checks, but it does not identify the faulty part on its own. Information from the car is also important when we later test the removed radio.
The radio is restarting — what should I show in the video or describe?
The most helpful thing is a description of one start-up attempt: what appears on the screen and after how long the radio switches off. A video recorded while parked is useful, but not required. Please include:
- The car model and year, plus a photo of the fascia or the number from the radio label.
- Whether the logo stays on the screen, or disappears and comes back again.
- How long it takes before the restart, and whether the menu or music works for a moment.
- Whether the problem appears after using a specific function or after connecting a phone; if so, state Bluetooth or USB.
- Whether restarting it helps and for how long, and what was done to the radio before.
You do not need to know the answer to everything. Send us what you have, and we'll ask about the missing details.
Is a radio with recurring restarts repairable?
In some cases, yes, but repeated restarts do not point to one single cause or one repair method. First we will identify the model and confirm whether we can accept it. After checking the unit, we will present the possible work and the price. Showing only the logo is not a reason to buy another radio straight away.
When buying a used radio, check the full number, compatibility with the equipment and service history. Make sure the seller has genuinely checked the functions, not just the logo display. Compare the price together with installation and any coding or matching required. Fixing this fault does not mean adding new functions or updating maps at the same time.
Before sending in the unit
What does it mean when a radio has a boot loop?
The radio switches on, switches off and tries to start again. The logo may keep appearing on the screen, while the menu or music only works for a moment. This describes the behaviour, not the name of the faulty part. In your enquiry, just write what you see and how often the radio restarts.
How is a radio freeze different from a restart?
With a restart, the radio switches off and starts up again. If it freezes, the display may still be visible, but the touchscreen and buttons do not work. Write what happens in your case. If switching it off and on again helps, add for how long.
Can I report a radio that only restarts when a phone is connected?
Yes. Give the phone model and say whether you connect it via Bluetooth or USB. Also add whether that same phone worked with the radio before and whether the unit works properly without a connection.
Can every radio that stops on the logo be repaired?
Not every one. It depends on the model and the cause of the fault. Send a photo of the front panel and the available unit number. Before you send it, we will confirm whether we deal with that radio; after checking, we will say what can be repaired.
How do you determine the repair cost?
After the fault has been described, we give an estimated cost. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, before we start the repair. It depends on the model and on what has failed. You decide whether you accept the proposed repair.
Who will remove the radio and reinstall it after the repair?
You can have these jobs done by a local workshop. First we will tell you which unit needs to be removed and whether any additional parts will be needed. You agree the removal and refitting price directly with the workshop. If it has already checked the problem in the car, send us its findings.
How long will the repair take?
Ask about the lead time when you submit the enquiry — it depends on the unit and the work required. We will agree when we can check it and when the repair should be completed. For mail-in repairs, please also allow for transport time both ways, as well as removing and refitting the radio.
How should the unit be prepared for transport?
Protect the screen, connectors and protruding parts. Use a rigid cardboard box and fill any empty spaces so the unit cannot move around. Pack any extra items separately so they do not knock against each other. Include the details provided when you made your enquiry. Photos and guidance can be found in the packing instructions.
