At OEMatic we repair factory car audio equipment: car radios, car navigation systems, car amplifiers, radios in heavy goods vehicles
No sound, crackling, no bass — in most cases this is a fault in the OEM amplifier that can be repaired without replacing the whole module. We refurbish factory amplifiers from Bose, Harman Kardon, Logic7, Bang & Olufsen and Burmester. By post from all over Poland.

Selected factory audio systems we work on

We repair factory car audio equipment
We specialise in factory-fitted electronics in passenger cars and lorries.
We diagnose OEM radios, navigation systems, amplifiers and multimedia modules that are part of a larger vehicle system: they communicate with the wiring, display, controls and vehicle configuration. That is why, when a fault appears, we do not start by replacing the entire module; instead we identify the cause and repair the subassembly actually responsible for the problem. This lets you keep the original system, its fitment to the car and the factory configuration.
We work with factory audio systems such as Bose, Harman Kardon, Logic7, Bang & Olufsen, Burmester and Dynaudio, as well as selected units from lorries. For symptoms such as no sound, crackling, reboots or freezing, we help determine whether the fault lies in the module itself, the power supply or the coding. We test the removed module at the workshop, and if it works correctly, you know the cause has to be sought in the car. Before you decide on a repair, you know exactly what needs work and how much it will cost.

Mail-in repairs from all over Poland
You do not need to bring the car to the workshop — we help you determine which module to remove and send.
You send just the module — radio, screen, amplifier or another OEM unit — while the car stays with you. If, in the case of a sound fault, it is not clear whether the radio or the amplifier is to blame, we may ask for both units. We then check communication between the modules as well, not just each one separately.
The OEMatic workshop is in Sochaczew. Instead of posting the unit, you can bring it in person by prior appointment. We accept factory equipment only, so before you remove anything, we will check from a photo of the rating label whether it is an original OEM module and not an Android replacement unit.

How does mail-in repair work
step by step?
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.
01
Describe the problem and show the device
Write what is happening in the vehicle, state the make, model and year. Add a photo of the device, the error screen or the nameplate sticker, if you have one. On that basis, we will initially assess whether we can help.
02
We will help you work out what to send
Not sure whether to remove the radio, screen, amplifier or another unit? We will advise which component to check, how to prepare it for shipping and how to pack the parcel safely.
03
We confirm the fault and quote for the work
In the workshop we carry out diagnostics, confirm the source of the problem and define the scope of work. We send a quote for approval. We only start work after your approval.
04
We repair, test and return
We remove the cause of the fault, test the device and send it back safely packed for refitting. Every repair we carry out is covered by a warranty.
Car electronics repair begins with identifying which module is actually causing the problem. In a modern OEM system, a symptom seen in the cabin does not always point to the radio being at fault, because the issue may lie in the display, amplifier or device memory. The key is to confirm the cause before repair or replacement, because in integrated systems a random swap can complicate diagnostics and matching the module to the system. That is why we check original radios, navigation units, amplifiers and multimedia units with the aim of preserving their factory configuration.
What are the typical symptoms and how do we diagnose them?
Typical symptoms can be divided according to whether the problem concerns sound, start-up, picture, navigation or access lockout. This matters because a similar effect in the cabin may be caused by the radio, a separate display, the amplifier or the start-up memory. Signs of a fault may include:
- no sound, crackling, loss of bass or loud pops,
- a radio that will not switch on, goes off or resets,
- a black screen, rebooting at the logo or no touch response,
- problems starting navigation, the map or the data carrier,
- a request for a PIN code or a function lock after incorrect attempts.
We begin diagnostics by confirming which module needs to be checked on the bench. The part number, connector type, hardware version and whether the system has a separate display or amplifier all matter. We then check the power supply sections, how the unit starts up, signs of damage and the functions available during bench diagnostics — that is, outside the target system, at the work station. If the symptoms depend on a specific function, we also assess communication with the panel, display or other system components on the test bench.
Why is repairing the factory module more beneficial?
Repairing the factory module is more beneficial when the problem concerns electronics, memory, power supply or connections, rather than extensive board damage. In practice, this allows compatibility with the display, steering wheel controls, camera, amplifier and vehicle bus, if the given system uses it. This is especially important in integrated systems, where simply swapping the unit does not guarantee full functionality.
A replacement module may only start partially or may require additional coding. That is why whether repair is worthwhile or replacement is needed can only be decided after an expert assessment. It is also important to distinguish unlocking the unit from repair, because a PIN request does not rule out a simultaneous memory or power failure. If the radio or navigation system freezes at the same time as the lockout, the electronics condition is confirmed first.
How does the car electronics repair process work?
The process begins with confirming which OEM module, meaning the factory system component, is actually causing the symptom. We check the part number, hardware version, connector type and system architecture so that we do not repair the wrong item. This is especially important when the radio works with a separate display, amplifier or navigation module. The removed module is assessed, not the whole car.
The unit is then subjected to bench and functional diagnostics. This means we check the power supply sections, how the unit starts up, signs of damage and the functions available during bench diagnostics. Depending on the design, we also assess communication with the panel, display or other system components on the test bench. This makes it easier to distinguish an electronics fault from a problem with the system start-up itself.
Once the cause has been confirmed, only then is the scope of repair and the cost for approval agreed. The assessment itself and confirmation of the cost can take from 1 to 5 working days from receipt of the parcel, depending on the type of unit, the symptom and the complexity of the fault. After approval, we repair the damaged sections according to the accepted quote, and finally test the unit before returning it. Repairing your own module makes sense when stable operation is restored after testing without affecting the factory configuration.
What should be prepared before sending the unit for repair?
Before sending, prepare a description of the fault symptoms and the device identification details. The most useful information is when the problem occurs, after what event it appeared, and whether it affects sound, picture, start-up or communication with the car. Before sending, prepare:
- the car make, model and year,
- a photo of the front of the unit and the label with the part number,
- information on whether the system has a separate screen, amplifier or navigation module,
- a description of whether the fault appeared after disconnecting the battery, water damage, a power surge, an update or replacing a part,
- the wording of any error message, PIN request or lockout, if one appears.
It is not worth making random attempts to enter the PIN or repeatedly connecting an unchecked module. Such actions can trigger a lockout and make it even harder to identify the original fault.
In the request, you must also clearly state that it is a factory OEM unit, because the workshop does not cover Android replacements. If you are not sure what to remove, a good practice is to send photos and a short description first. An initial, free assessment based on photos and a description is prepared within around 24 hours, and the unit itself is sent only after it has been accepted.
Frequently asked questions
and answers
Key information about diagnostics, shipping, quoting and repair of an OEM factory unit.
Which devices do you repair, and which do you not?
We repair factory OEM radios, navigation systems, audio amplifiers and multimedia modules from cars and lorries. We do not repair replacement units fitted in place of factory equipment, including radio-navigation units with Android systems.
Do I need to bring the car to the workshop?
No. You send the module only, and we help you identify which item to remove and how to secure it for transport. You can also deliver the unit to the workshop in Sochaczew by prior arrangement.
How do I know whether my unit is factory fitted?
Check the nameplate sticker: it should have the manufacturer’s logo, e.g. Harman Becker or Bose, and the part number. No brand name or Chinese characters on the label usually mean a replacement. If in doubt, send a photo of the sticker and we will verify it free of charge.
Will I know the cost before I send the unit?
Yes. Based on the photos and description of the fault, we prepare a free, no-obligation initial quote, and if there is not enough information, we ask for more. You send the unit only after accepting it, and we confirm the final scope of work after inspection.
Do I need to know the radio model to ask about repair?
No. Provide the make, model and year of the car and attach a photo of the unit’s panel and nameplate sticker. If the part number is needed, we will ask for it.
Does the unit need to be recoded after repair?
We repair the original module assigned to the car, so in the typical case it retains its factory configuration. If a given model requires additional steps, we will inform you before the repair.
What warranty covers the repair?
Every repair we carry out is covered by a warranty. Its period depends on the unit and the scope of the service and is stated on the invoice in the notes field. The warranty does not cover faults caused later by flooding, moisture or incorrect installation.
