Radio repair Gdańsk — without having to visit the workshop
The radio cuts out, the navigation freezes, or there is no sound from the speakers? If you are in Gdańsk, you can register the unit with OEMatic and send it to our workshop in Sochaczew. Send a photo and describe the problem — we will tell you whether we can help and what needs to be sent.
We repair factory radios, navigation units and car amplifiers.

The radio works one minute,
and refuses to cooperate the next?
You know the sort: everything works during a quick check, but the problem returns on the road. You can report this fault too. It would help us to know after how long the sound disappears, crackling starts, or the radio switches off.

The sound disappears after several minutes
Tell us how long the radio works properly and whether everything returns to normal after a stop. This will help us plan checks for a fault that does not show itself straight after switching on.
Show the problem in a short video
If you can, record the fault while parked. It will show whether the screen goes blank, only the sound disappears, or the radio switches off and restarts. No recording? Start with a description.
The radio has already been repaired
Tell us what was done before and how long it worked properly after the repair. It is also important whether the same problem came back. We will use this information when checking the unit.
Removal can be arranged in Gdańsk
You do not need to bring the whole car to Sochaczew. Once the unit to be sent has been agreed, a local workshop can remove it, and if necessary — check the wiring in the car.
Do not buy another radio without checking
A recurring fault does not have to mean that the current radio cannot be repaired. First we will identify the model and the symptoms. After diagnostics, you will receive a repair proposal with a price, so you can decide calmly what to choose.
Examples of repairs to factory units
Repair of MIB STD2 PQ – touch not working | VW, Skoda, Seat

Repair of Ford ACM module — no sound, crackling
No sound in a Ford Kuga, Escape, Ranger or Lincoln? It may be dry joints on the PCB of the Panasonic ACM module — not a radio replacement. Refurbishment 984 zł, 1-3 days, 24-month warranty.
Mercedes Logic7 amplifier repair – no sound
No sound in a Mercedes W221 or W216? The Logic7 amplifier may be to blame. See why it fails, how professional refurbishment is carried out, and why it is worth repairing rather than buying a used unit.
BMW amplifier repair – Harman Kardon, Top Hi‑Fi, Logic7 – no sound after water ingress
Water in the boot and a blown 40A fuse are a common cause of silence in the radio. Find out when repair makes sense — free diagnostics and a quote within 24h.
From Gdańsk to the workshop and back
01
You report the problem
Send a photo of the radio, give the model and year of the car, and describe what is not working. If you do not know the name of the unit, we will help identify it. We will tell you whether we deal with this equipment and what needs to be sent for inspection. We usually reply within 24 hours on working days.
02
You prepare the unit
Once we have established what needs to be sent, you can have the unit removed by a local workshop. Protect the screen and connectors, and pack the unit so it cannot move inside the box. Follow our guidance in the packing instructions.
03
You hand over the parcel
We can arrange a courier on request. Provide the parcel collection address and the address to which we should return the unit. If a workshop is sending it, please also agree who we should contact about the repair price.
04
You decide on the repair
We inspect the unit and provide a repair price. You decide whether to proceed. Once you approve, we repair the unit and test it before return. If anything still does not work after installation, contact us and describe the problem.
You know the cost first.
Then you decide.
Repair after quote approval
Before dispatching, we give an estimated cost. After checking the unit, we confirm the price and wait for your approval.
Decide not to go ahead? You pay nothing for diagnostics or postage
If you decide against the repair, the unit cannot be repaired, or the fault lies elsewhere, diagnostics and return postage are free.
You pay after the repair
By bank transfer before the unit is sent back, or cash on delivery on receipt. We issue a VAT invoice.
24
months' warranty for selected repairs
We provide a 12- or 24-month written warranty for the repair carried out and the parts replaced — in line with the offer for your unit.
Show the unit and describe the problem.
In the morning the radio plays normally, and after several minutes crackling appears or the sound disappears? After a stop it works again, so it is hard to show the fault in the workshop? Tell us about this sequence. It will help to know the time from switching on to the problem appearing, and what brings it back. There is no need to wait until the radio completely refuses to cooperate. You can report it even when the fault appears only from time to time.
Does the radio stop playing after prolonged use?
For faults like this, the following symptoms are worth noting:
- The sound disappears after listening for a while
- After a stop, the radio works again
- Crackling appears after several minutes
- The radio restarts after the car is started again
- The problem appears only occasionally
- The same fault came back after an earlier repair
Can't see your problem here? Describe it in your own words. We'll check whether we can help.
What helps to check a fault that only appears after some time?
We have had reports of crackling appearing only after 20–30 minutes. A short switch-on of the radio may therefore not show the problem. Tell us how long it takes before you hear it and whether it is the same every time. An example of a helpful description: „After half an hour it starts crackling, but the menu still works. After a longer stop it plays normally again”. This kind of description helps us plan the unit check.
Pay attention to what works during the fault. If the screen and menu respond, but there is no music, say exactly that. If the radio switches itself off and shows the logo again, describe the restart. You can also indicate whether the problem affects FM radio, Bluetooth and other sources you use. You do not need to test every function by force or choose the parts for repair yourself.
If the problem does not appear during the test at the workshop, the behaviour of the unit must be compared with what happens in the car. A recording and a detailed description help. Sometimes a wiring check on site is also needed. If the radio has already been repaired, add how long it worked properly after collection and whether the same fault has now returned.
The radio works one minute, cuts out the next — how should you describe the fault?
With a fault that appears from time to time, the course of the problem tells us the most. We do not need a technical diagnosis. Describe what you noticed while using the car:
- The car model and year, plus a photo of the radio or its markings.
- How long passes from switching on to the sound disappearing, crackling or a restart.
- What still works when the fault occurs: the screen, buttons, navigation or another music source.
- Whether the radio works properly after a stop or restart, and for how long.
- What was repaired before and when the problem returned. If you have one, please include a short recording from when the car was stationary.
You do not need to know the answer to everything. Send us what you have, and we'll ask about the missing details.
The fault keeps coming back — repair the radio or buy another one?
It is worth finding out first why the problem keeps returning. If the previous repair only helped briefly, please include its description and how long it took for the fault to come back. We will check whether we can work on the unit again. Buying another radio will not solve a problem with the car’s power supply or connections.
When comparing repair with buying a used unit, ask how it was tested. Simply “it powers up and plays” says very little about a problem that only appears after longer use. Bear in mind part compatibility, the possibility of return and the cost of the whole replacement. After diagnosis, we will present a repair proposal for your unit.
Before sending in the unit
Can I send in a radio that sometimes works properly?
Yes, you do not need to wait until it stops working completely. Write when the problem appears and what helps, even briefly. If one day the sound disappears after five minutes and another day after an hour, give both examples. This description helps us prepare the tests.
What if the fault only appears after a long drive?
Write how long it usually takes for the problem to appear and whether the radio works again after parking. Also say whether only the sound disappears, the screen goes off, or the whole unit switches off. Once we know the model, we will say how we can check it. Observations from normal use of the car are enough.
What if the radio works in the workshop, but cuts out again in the car?
Contact us and describe when the problem returned. A short recording will help, as well as information on whether the same function as before is not working. We will compare this with the results of our tests. If checking the power supply or connections in the car is needed, we will explain what should be passed on to the local workshop.
Do you accept radios after a previous repair?
Ask us about your model and describe what was done. Write how long the radio worked properly and whether the same problem came back. If you have a description of the previous repair, attach it. On that basis we will confirm whether we can accept the unit.
How do you determine the repair cost?
After the fault has been described, we give an estimated cost. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, before we start the repair. It depends on the model and on what has failed. You decide whether you accept the proposed repair.
Who will remove the radio and reinstall it after the repair?
You can have these jobs done by a local workshop. First we will tell you which unit needs to be removed and whether any additional parts will be needed. You agree the removal and refitting price directly with the workshop. If it has already checked the problem in the car, send us its findings.
How long will the repair take?
Ask about the lead time when you submit the enquiry — it depends on the unit and the work required. We will agree when we can check it and when the repair should be completed. For mail-in repairs, please also allow for transport time both ways, as well as removing and refitting the radio.
How should the unit be prepared for transport?
Protect the screen, connectors and protruding parts. Use a rigid cardboard box and fill any empty spaces so the unit cannot move around. Pack any extra items separately so they do not knock against each other. Include the details provided when you made your enquiry. Photos and guidance can be found in the packing instructions.
