Car radio repair Lublin — no need to visit the workshop

The radio is asking for a code, won’t accept it, or stopped working after replacement? Send a photo of the message to OEMatic. We serve customers from Lublin by post at our workshop in Sochaczew. We also repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers.

The radio is asking for a code
or won’t accept it?

Show exactly what the screen displays and tell us what happened beforehand. Was the battery disconnected, was the radio replaced, or did the problem appear without any changes? This will help determine whether it is a code issue, settings for a new unit, or a fault.

Factory car radio with control panel, example of a unit we repair

Take a photo of the message

The words SAFE, LOCKED or the PIN entry window help us start the check. Different radios require different actions, so do not try any more random codes. First show us what you see on the screen.

The radio previously worked in this car

If the problem appeared after disconnecting the battery, say so. That situation is different from starting up a unit bought as a replacement. In both cases, we begin by establishing the model.

A purchased radio may need adaptation

The code alone is not always enough for a used unit to work with the car. Compatibility of the parts and the required settings also need to be checked. If you have the old and new radio numbers, send both.

Don’t know the device number?

Start with a photo of the panel, the message, and the car make and year. If we need a label or document, we’ll tell you exactly which one. There’s no need to guess missing details.

Ask first, send later

Wait for our reply before removing anything. Once we’ve seen the message and identified the model, we’ll tell you whether we need the unit in the workshop and what information to prepare. A request for a code does not always mean the whole set has to be sent in.

Examples of repairs to factory units

From Lublin to the workshop and back

01

You report the problem

Send a photo of the radio, give the model and year of the car, and describe what is not working. If you do not know the name of the unit, we will help identify it. We will tell you whether we deal with this equipment and what needs to be sent for inspection. We usually reply within 24 hours on working days.

02

You prepare the unit

Once we have established what needs to be sent, you can have the unit removed by a local workshop. Protect the screen and connectors, and pack the unit so it cannot move inside the box. Follow our guidance in the packing instructions.

03

You hand over the parcel

We can arrange a courier on request. Provide the parcel collection address and the address to which we should return the unit. If a workshop is sending it, please also agree who we should contact about the repair price.

04

You decide on the repair

We inspect the unit and provide a repair price. You decide whether to proceed. Once you approve, we repair the unit and test it before return. If anything still does not work after installation, contact us and describe the problem.

Many thanks to the entire OEMatic team for repairing the radio in my Lexus CT.
Professional and reliable service. I can wholeheartedly recommend this workshop!
Problem: black screen, no working radio, no interaction with the radio at all.

Highly recommended! My OEM JBL amplifier from a Toyota (CHR, 2017) suffered a short circuit, and other audio workshops would not agree to repair it. Here the problem was solved extremely quickly. They received the parcel on Monday, and by Thursday the repaired unit was back with me. Excellent communication at every stage, and most importantly – the price includes a 24-month warranty.
Complete professionalism!

A service absolutely worth recommending. After years of problems with the infotainment head unit in my Skoda Superb constantly freezing and resetting, the MIB was finally repaired. The main dealer could only offer a replacement with a new unit for 3500 eur (!), other car audio companies could not help, and OEMatic carried out the repair in 1 day.

I recommend them wholeheartedly….I don’t know how they did it, but they decoded the radio from an Iveco Daily 2020 faster than it takes to pack the parcel with the radio…One workshop promised a lot, but failed and said the radio was only fit for scrap. I highly recommend them — complete professionalism and a good price. Best regards.

I recommend OEMatic — only 3 days passed from sending the radio to the workshop and having it fitted back in my car.
The radio from a Mercedes ML W164 2007 NTG2 BE 6089 had its fault diagnosed extremely quickly, and the repair was carried out just as fast.
Communication with Mr Tomasz was excellent, and updates from the workshop on the progress of the repair were sent promptly. This is definitely a workshop other people can learn from.
An obvious 5 stars from me.

VW Touran radio, I sent it to the company because the reversing camera was not working and the radio would not turn on. Sent by courier. Diagnosis: no faults. (the fault needs to be looked for elsewhere) The radio was sent back quickly and the company did not charge anything, not even for the return postage. There probably aren’t many honest companies like this left here in Poland. Many thanks.

Definitely recommended. Very fast repair and very good, speedy communication. Information was available at every stage of the repair request process — an online repair management system. The unit (radio) was already meant to be written off and replaced with another used one. Fortunately, I accidentally found the OEMatic blog while looking for a replacement, and it saved me from replacing it with another used unit, which would have been a loss for the appearance (the fronts of the replacements I found were not in such good condition, and all of them were older than my unit from pre-facelift models); the newer ones were more expensive than the repair. So that’s a plus too.

RNS 315 radio with faulty Bluetooth. The radio sounds better than new. Others gave up on the repair, OEMatic handled it efficiently and quickly without any problems. We need more professionals like this. Thank you for the repair.

I left a Honda Jazz radio panel for repair. In addition to the radio, the guys also repaired the CD player at the same price, even though I hadn’t asked them to. I also received spare bulbs for the button backlighting. Very friendly and professional, the radio and player work flawlessly. I recommend them with a clear conscience. Such expertise is rare nowadays.

For a long time I’d been battling an annoying problem in my VW Passat B8 — the car radio kept losing sound. Fortunately, I found OEMatic Car Media Lab and it was a perfect choice!
From the first contact it was clear there was professionalism and huge knowledge of factory audio systems. Quick diagnosis and an even quicker (and most importantly: EFFECTIVE!) repair! The result? The radio plays crystal clear, with no dropouts or interruptions. You can tell the fault was removed at the source, not just temporarily masked.
If you have any problems with factory audio, navigation or the radio in your car (especially VW, Audi, Skoda!), I definitely recommend OEMatic Car Media Lab. True experts!

The Harman-Kardon amplifier in my BMW F33 was flooded, so I decided to hand it over to OEMatic. A quick check to see whether it could be saved — yes! it could! A few days later the amplifier was back with me after repair.

For a moment I also had doubts whether only the amplifier had been damaged by the flooding, because I lost the ability to set the time and information such as instant fuel consumption or average fuel consumption disappeared; after a phone call I was told that this can happen because of a break in the car’s CAN circuit due to the amplifier being absent.

The theory proved correct, and fitting the already repaired amplifier helped and all the functions returned.

I hope the amplifier will serve for a long time to come and without faults.

I honestly RECOMMEND IT!

A great company, they will help you in any situation when it comes to navigation.
Two companies from the Małopolskie region where I live suggested replacing the unit; at the authorised service centre the fault repair would cost 1400 ,- and they helped me fix it, and over the phone 😃

The content of the reviews I read quickly convinced me to have my unit repaired at OeMatic. I expected the highest quality of service at every stage and that is exactly what I received. After the phone call I received all the information needed for shipping by text message. As soon as the workshop received the parcel with the radio, I got a phone call, we agreed the details, I confirmed the price and the repair began. In the afternoon of the next day I was informed that the repair had been completed, I settled the bill and the radio was back with me after 4 days. It seems there is no room for even the slightest shortcoming in this company (such as a delay with a text message).
For me, this is the highest quality.
Thank you very much for the repair and I wish you success🙂

Show the unit and describe the problem.

Check whether we can help

After disconnecting the battery, is the radio asking for a code? Do you have the code, but the unit won’t accept it? Or maybe the purchased radio powers up, but some functions don’t work? Tell us which situation applies to you and attach a photo of the message. A request for a code does not always mean a fault in the electronics, and a problem after replacing the radio is not always solved by entering the PIN.

The radio asks for a code, shows SAFE or LOCKED

In your message, describe exactly what you can see:

  • The radio asks for a PIN code
  • SAFE appears on the screen
  • The radio shows LOCKED
  • The code you have is rejected
  • After a few attempts, you cannot enter the code again
  • After replacing the radio, some functions do not work

Can't see your problem here? Describe it in your own words. We'll check whether we can help.

What do we need to know before we deal with the code?

First of all, we need to identify the radio and the message on the screen. A PIN request, the word LOCKED and missing functions may require different actions. There is no single button combination that works for every brand. Show the panel and any available unit marking. Based on that, we’ll tell you whether we deal with this problem and what other information is needed.

Tell us whether the radio previously worked in this car or has just been bought and fitted. If it is a replacement, the numbers of the old and new unit will be useful. If you no longer have the original, say so. Do not replace a missing marking with the number of a similar radio from an advert — the panel design is not enough to confirm that it is the same version.

If the code you have is rejected, describe how the radio responds. Can you enter it again, does a message appear, or does the unit no longer allow another attempt? Also tell us where you got the code from: the radio documentation or the car documents, where the equipment may have been replaced. Don’t keep trying random combinations. Once we have identified the radio, we’ll tell you what can be done.

Radio won’t accept the code? Show us the message

A photo of the screen is more precise than just saying “locked radio”. It will let us see whether the unit is asking for a PIN, rejecting it, or not allowing another attempt. Send:

  • A photo of the full message: the code request, the SAFE or LOCKED text, or any other visible information.
  • The make, model and year of the car, plus a photo of the radio panel.
  • Information on whether the radio previously worked in this car and whether the problem started after disconnecting the battery or replacing the unit.
  • A description of the reaction after entering the code you have, plus information about earlier attempts. Do not enter random combinations.
  • The radio number from the sticker, if available. If the unit has been replaced, the numbers of the old and new equipment will be useful.

You do not need to know the answer to everything. Send us what you have, and we'll ask about the missing details.

Does a request for a code mean the radio has to be replaced?

No. If the radio worked properly and now needs a code, buying another one may be unnecessary. First we’ll check whether we can help you regain access to your model. If the problem started after fitting a used radio, its compatibility with the car also needs to be checked — the code alone may not be enough.

With a used radio, you need to check separately whether it fits the car and whether it will require additional settings. Unlocking it alone does not guarantee compatibility with the car’s equipment. Before buying, ask the seller for the full designation and confirmation of interchangeability; compare the unit price together with any work needed after installation.

Before sending in the unit

Is unlocking the radio the same as adapting it to the car?

No. Unlocking helps regain access when the radio requires a code. After replacing the unit, it may also need to be set up to work with the car and equipment. Show us the message and tell us whether the radio previously worked in this car. We’ll check what your model needs and whether we can help by post.

Is the car make enough to recover the code?

No, we need to establish which radio is in the car. Send a photo of the panel and the message, plus any available numbers from the label. If the radio has been replaced, mention that — the vehicle details may then not be enough to identify the fitted unit.

I have the code, but the radio won’t accept it. What should I do?

Send a photo of the full message and describe what happens after the code is entered. Also tell us whether there have been any previous attempts. Do not enter any more random combinations. Once we have established the model, we’ll tell you whether we can help and what to do next.

Will a used radio work straight away in my car after unlocking?

Not always. It still has to match the car and its equipment, and in some cases it requires the correct settings. Before ordering the service, show both unit numbers if you have them and tell us which functions do not work after the replacement.

How do you determine the repair cost?

After the fault has been described, we give an estimated cost. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, before we start the repair. It depends on the model and on what has failed. You decide whether you accept the proposed repair.

Who will remove the radio and reinstall it after the repair?

You can have these jobs done by a local workshop. First we will tell you which unit needs to be removed and whether any additional parts will be needed. You agree the removal and refitting price directly with the workshop. If it has already checked the problem in the car, send us its findings.

How long will the repair take?

Ask about the lead time when you submit the enquiry — it depends on the unit and the work required. We will agree when we can check it and when the repair should be completed. For mail-in repairs, please also allow for transport time both ways, as well as removing and refitting the radio.

How should the unit be prepared for transport?

Protect the screen, connectors and protruding parts. Use a rigid cardboard box and fill any empty spaces so the unit cannot move around. Pack any extra items separately so they do not knock against each other. Include the details provided when you made your enquiry. Photos and guidance can be found in the packing instructions.
