We repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers fitted in Škoda cars. Our catalogue for this make includes the RNS 310 (Bosch), RNS 315 (TechniSat), RNS 510 (Continental) and MIB STD2 PQ (TechniSat / Preh) navigation radios from the Fabia II (5J), Octavia II (1Z), Rapid (NH), Roomster (5J), Superb II (3T) and Yeti (5L) models.

Symptoms indicating a faulty module

Škoda units come to the workshop with the following symptoms:

  • touch in MIB STD2 PQ does not respond in parts of the screen, e.g. on half the keyboard,
  • pops, hum or crackling in the speakers with RNS 510,
  • silence despite a selected audio source,
  • buttons do not respond, or a code request or lockout appears.

One symptom does not prove a module fault. Crackling may result from connections or the amplifier, and unresponsive touch from the touch panel itself. We confirm the cause after checking the removed unit; if it turns out to be working, the car’s installation should be checked by a local mechanic or auto electrician.

What determines whether the repair makes sense

The deciding factors are the type of fault, the condition of the electronics and the availability of parts for the given module. Repair makes sense when the damage can be removed without replacing the unit with another one of different specification. Based on a photo of the label and a description of the symptoms, we provide an initial quote before sending, and confirm the scope of work and cost after checking the module.

Why we repair factory modules rather than replacements

We repair only factory Škoda units, identified by the manufacturer’s label and the part number. We do not service Android replacements. The original module is meant to work with the rest of the factory car system, and the scope of work depends on the unit version and part number, which we check before starting the repair.

Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of Škoda radios, navigation units and amplifiers: enquiry, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair factory radio, navigation and amplifier units in Škoda?

We only repair original Škoda units, identified by the identification label. The unit must be removed and sent to the workshop in Sochaczew, or delivered in person by appointment.

Is repair worthwhile instead of replacing it with a new or used unit in a Škoda?

The decision depends on the fault, the condition of the electronics and the availability of parts. After receiving the module, we assess the damage and confirm the scope of repair.

How is the repair quote for a Škoda module prepared?

We prepare an initial quote based on photos of the label and a description of the symptoms, before sending. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, and we start the repair only after your approval.

Do I need to bring the car to the Škoda workshop, or how do I send the module?

You do not need to come by car. Send the removed module by courier from anywhere in Poland, or deliver it in person to Sochaczew by appointment. If there are sound problems, we may ask for both modules to check communication.

What should I prepare before submitting a Škoda module for repair?

Provide the car make, model and year, describe the symptoms and attach a photo of the unit or the identification label. You do not need to know the radio model name; we will ask for the part number if it is needed.
