Car radio repair Kraków — no need to visit the workshop
The radio works, but the screen stays black? Does touch not respond or select functions on its own? From Kraków you can send the unit to OEMatic in Sochaczew. Show us the panel and describe what is happening — we will say whether we can help and which parts of the unit will be needed.
We repair factory radios, navigation units and car amplifiers.

The screen does not work
or touch?
A black screen, no response to touch and a freezing radio are different faults. Describe what you can see and what still works. That will help us decide where to start before you choose to replace the whole unit.

The music plays, but there is no picture
If you can adjust the volume or change stations with the buttons, mention that in your message. This information helps distinguish a picture fault from a situation where the whole radio has stopped working.
Only part of the screen responds to touch
Write where the screen does not respond. If it opens menus by itself or selects different buttons from the ones you touch, describe it or record it while parked. You do not need to dismantle the panel to report the fault.
The screen or the whole radio — we will work out what to check
Not every screen fault means buying a complete radio. First we will identify the model, and after checking the unit we will suggest a possible repair. The scope depends on the design and condition of the equipment.
We will tell you whether to send the screen or the radio
In some cars the screen is part of the radio, in others it is a separate unit. Agree the required set with us before removing anything. That helps avoid sending parts again and taking the car apart a second time.
Tell us about previous repair attempts
Was the touch, the glass replaced, or the connector repaired? Write whether anything changed after those jobs. If you have the part number fitted or a repair description, include it in your message.
Examples of repairs to factory units
Repair of MIB STD2 PQ – touch not working | VW, Skoda, Seat
Are you trying to enter an address in the navigation, but half of the keyboard does not respond? Do you want to set a radio station manually, but the slider stops halfway and will not move any further?
Repair of Ford ACM module — no sound, crackling
No sound in a Ford Kuga, Escape, Ranger or Lincoln? It may be dry joints on the PCB of the Panasonic ACM module — not a radio replacement. Refurbishment 984 zł, 1-3 days, 24-month warranty.
Mercedes Logic7 amplifier repair – no sound
No sound in a Mercedes W221 or W216? The Logic7 amplifier may be to blame. See why it fails, how professional refurbishment is carried out, and why it is worth repairing rather than buying a used unit.
BMW amplifier repair – Harman Kardon, Top Hi‑Fi, Logic7 – no sound after water ingress
Water in the boot and a blown 40A fuse are a common cause of silence in the radio. Find out when repair makes sense — free diagnostics and a quote within 24h.
From Kraków to the workshop and back
01
You report the problem
Send a photo of the radio, give the model and year of the car, and describe what is not working. If you do not know the name of the unit, we will help identify it. We will tell you whether we deal with this equipment and what needs to be sent for inspection. We usually reply within 24 hours on working days.
02
You prepare the unit
Once we have established what needs to be sent, you can have the unit removed by a local workshop. Protect the screen and connectors, and pack the unit so it cannot move inside the box. Follow our guidance in the packing instructions.
03
You hand over the parcel
We can arrange a courier on request. Provide the parcel collection address and the address to which we should return the unit. If a workshop is sending it, please also agree who we should contact about the repair price.
04
You decide on the repair
We inspect the unit and provide a repair price. You decide whether to proceed. Once you approve, we repair the unit and test it before return. If anything still does not work after installation, contact us and describe the problem.
You know the cost first.
Then you decide.
Repair after quote approval
Before dispatching, we give an estimated cost. After checking the unit, we confirm the price and wait for your approval.
Decide not to go ahead? You pay nothing for diagnostics or postage
If you decide against the repair, the unit cannot be repaired, or the fault lies elsewhere, diagnostics and return postage are free.
You pay after the repair
By bank transfer before the unit is sent back, or cash on delivery on receipt. We issue a VAT invoice.
24
months' warranty for selected repairs
We provide a 12- or 24-month written warranty for the repair carried out and the parts replaced — in line with the offer for your unit.
Show the unit and describe the problem.
Does the radio play music, but you cannot select anything on the screen? Or has the image disappeared completely, even though the buttons still work? Describe separately what you can see and how the touch responds. That will make it easier to decide where to start the inspection. You do not need to know whether the display, the touch layer or another part has failed — that is for the workshop to determine.
The screen does not respond to touch or does not display an image
An enquiry may concern, for example, these faults:
- The whole screen does not respond to touch
- Only part of the screen responds to touch
- The screen selects functions by itself
- The music plays, but the screen is black
- There are stripes or discolouration on the screen
- The image is visible, but the radio can only be operated with the buttons
Can't see your problem here? Describe it in your own words. We'll check whether we can help.
Is repairing the screen enough?
It depends on the unit and the fault. A dark screen with the music still playing is different from a situation where the whole system does not respond. Tell us whether you can change the volume, switch stations or use steering wheel controls. In the Hyundai LAN5202EHGB we repaired, the sound and buttons worked despite the lack of picture. That does not mean, however, that every radio with a black screen needs the same repair.
If there is a touch problem, a more detailed description will help: does the whole surface not respond, only a fixed area, or does the screen select functions by itself? If you can, record it while stationary. Do not press the panel harder and do not dismantle it for the enquiry. In some cases we first need to check how the whole system behaves, instead of ordering a new touchscreen straight away.
The touchscreen and the display are not the same thing. How they are connected depends on the model. If someone has already replaced the screen or the touch panel, give the part number if you have it, and say what changed after fitting. It is important whether the problem appeared immediately or only after some time.
The screen or touch panel is not working — what photos and information should you send?
Show the panel and describe the image and touch response separately. That way we will not confuse a display fault with a situation where the whole radio has frozen. In your message include:
- The car model and year, plus a photo of the whole panel, not just part of the screen.
- Whether the screen is black, displays the image correctly, or shows stripes or discolouration.
- Whether the whole screen does not respond, only a selected area, or functions activate without touch.
- Whether the music and operation via buttons or the steering wheel still work.
- Information about replacing the glass, touch panel or screen. If you have a video showing the problem while stationary, attach it.
You do not need to know the answer to everything. Send us what you have, and we'll ask about the missing details.
Damaged screen — repair the display or replace the whole radio?
Not every image or touch fault means the whole radio needs replacing. First you need to identify the model and check which part is not working. If the screen or touch panel can be repaired, we will quote that with the price. Only then is it worth comparing it with buying a used part or the whole unit.
If you are considering a used screen, make sure it works with your radio. Similar size and shape is not enough. Ask for the part number, a check of the touch and image, and the possibility of return. Only then will comparing the price of a used part with repairing your own equipment be meaningful.
Before sending in the unit
The radio works, but the screen does not. Does the whole unit need replacing?
You should not assume that. Working sound is an important clue, so add that information to your enquiry. Show the radio panel and describe whether the screen is completely black or simply not responding to touch. Once we identify the model, we will tell you what needs checking before you decide to buy parts.
Does the screen select functions by itself? Can I report that too?
Yes. Write whether the radio responds without touching the screen, or selects a different spot from the one you touch. A short video recorded while parked will help show the fault. If it happens only in one part of the screen, say which part.
Will replacing the glass fix non-working touch?
Not always. The glass protects the screen, while touch detection is handled by a separate layer. Depending on the model, these parts may form one combined unit. First it has to be checked what has failed — the appearance of the glass alone does not determine the repair.
Should I remove just the screen?
Ask us before removing anything. For testing, we may need just the screen, the radio, or both together. We will tell you what to prepare after looking at the photos and the description of the fault.
How do you determine the repair cost?
After the fault has been described, we give an estimated cost. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, before we start the repair. It depends on the model and on what has failed. You decide whether you accept the proposed repair.
Who will remove the radio and reinstall it after the repair?
You can have these jobs done by a local workshop. First we will tell you which unit needs to be removed and whether any additional parts will be needed. You agree the removal and refitting price directly with the workshop. If it has already checked the problem in the car, send us its findings.
How long will the repair take?
Ask about the lead time when you submit the enquiry — it depends on the unit and the work required. We will agree when we can check it and when the repair should be completed. For mail-in repairs, please also allow for transport time both ways, as well as removing and refitting the radio.
How should the unit be prepared for transport?
Protect the screen, connectors and protruding parts. Use a rigid cardboard box and fill any empty spaces so the unit cannot move around. Pack any extra items separately so they do not knock against each other. Include the details provided when you made your enquiry. Photos and guidance can be found in the packing instructions.
