The logo freeze fault in Honda Connect radios is a permanent software error (the so-called boot loop), caused by corrupted data in the internal eMMC memory. It prevents the system from starting properly, leaving the radio unusable.
Whether you see a frozen Honda symbol on the screen or a hypnotic wheel spinning endlessly, the result is the same. You probably know that sight all too well.
That feeling of helplessness when the entire command centre of your car turns into a glowing but useless screen. You try everything: a reset, disconnecting the battery terminal, but all you achieve is growing frustration because the radio still does not work.
That is exactly why we specialise in cases like this. In this article, we will show you why your Honda Connect radio fails and how we carry out its effective refurbishment (repair usually takes 2-5 days, you receive a 24-month warranty, and the total cost is 2460 zł incl. VAT).
How do you identify a Honda Connect unit?
First of all, identifying the radio is crucial. The surest way is to check the manufacturer on the housing label. It must show the name Fujitsu Ten or Denso. These units were fitted to many Honda models, including:
- CR-V
- Civic (including Tourer and Type R)
- HR-V
- Jazz
Detailed part numbers and product codes can be compared with the table you will find in our article on unlocking Honda radios.
Symptoms of the fault – is this definitely your problem?
If you recognise any of the scenarios below, this article is for you.

1. Repeated resetting (boot loop)
This is the most common symptom. When the ignition is switched on, the Honda logo appears on the screen, sometimes with a loading animation (“spinning circle”), then the screen goes blank for a moment and the whole process starts again. And so on, in an endless loop. The radio never reaches the main menu.
2. System stuck on the logo
The screen turns on and displays a static Honda logo. There is no response to touch or buttons. The system is “stuck” on the welcome screen.
3. Non-working additional functions
When the radio gets caught in a loop, other elements stop working too:
- You cannot set the clock on the small display.
- The USB ports in the glovebox are dead.
- The reversing camera may come on, but often without dynamic guide lines.
💡 PRO-TIP: Before you send the radio, check one thing!
It does happen, although rarely, that the cause of the logo freeze is a faulty device connected to the USB port (e.g. a memory stick or phone cable). Before removing the radio, disconnect absolutely everything from the USB ports and restart the system. Sometimes this simple step can solve the problem!
Main cause of the fault – why does this happen?
The culprit is data corruption in the device’s main memory, the so-called eMMC NANDrive.
This is an integrated SSD, on which the entire radio operating system is stored. Most often, damage occurs during an attempt to write new data – which is why the fault often appears after an “innocent” change to the graphic theme in settings or during a software update. As a result, the memory is damaged, the system loses key startup files and cannot load.

Technical curiosity: What is eMMC memory?
eMMC NANDrive memory (such as the GLS85VM1032B model used in these radios) is a fully integrated hard drive in one small package. It combines the NAND controller and the flash memory itself. It is an ideal solution for embedded systems (such as car radios), where compact size, low power consumption and reliability matter. Unfortunately, like any data storage medium, it has a limited lifespan and is vulnerable to write errors. Source: Greenliant Systems

Repair process step by step
Our process is aimed at permanently removing the cause of the problem. If the memory is physically damaged, we replace it with a new one.
Step 1: Contact and shipping
You contact us to agree the details. You receive the information and safely pack, then send the removed radio to us.
Step 2: Fault verification
Once we receive the parcel, we connect your radio to our environment. We confirm the presence of the “boot loop” fault and tell you the cost for approval before repair.
Step 3: Memory repair and update
This is the most important stage of the whole operation. We replace the damaged eMMC memory with a new one and programme it with a stable, tested version of the software. The service price also includes updating the navigation maps to the latest available version.
Step 4: Final tests and recovery of the PIN code
After repair, the radio is comprehensively tested – we check the touchscreen, buttons, CD drive, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. After repair, the radio asks for a 5-digit PIN code – we read it out and provide it to you as part of the service price. We wrote more about this method in the article on unlocking Fujitsu Ten radios in Honda.
Step 5: Safe return
After successful tests and payment of the invoice, we pack the fully working and tested unit and send it back to you together with the read-out code.
Repair cost and terms – summary
Here is the key information about our service in one place:
- Total cost: 2460 zł incl. VAT
- Lead time: 2-5 working days
- Warranty: 24 months
Refurbished vs Used vs New dealership unit – cost comparison
Before you start looking for a used radio with an uncertain history, take a look at the options:
- Our refurbishment: 2460 zł incl. VAT. You get a guaranteed repair, new components, 24 months' warranty, the PIN code and up-to-date maps (up to the version allowed by the licence in your unit).
- Used radio bought at auction: 500–3500 zł. It’s a gamble. You buy equipment with the risk of the same factory fault appearing, most often with only a short start-up warranty (14 days).
- New radio (Honda dealer): approx. 12,000–15,000 zł. The cost is prohibitive and completely uneconomical for cars a few years old.
