Ford HSRNS NX LCD fault

A customer came to us because the display in his navigation system started playing up.
Vertical stripes appeared intermittently, until in the end they stayed on the screen permanently.

Usually, damage of this type – vertical or horizontal stripes – is the result of slight moisture ingress. That was the case this time too.

The culprit turned out to be coca-cola, which had spilled while driving and caused slight corrosion.
After rebuilding and protecting the tracks, everything returned to normal.

Wouldn’t it be better to replace the entire display module with a new one?

Yes, that was possible – we have new modules, but in this case the fault was at a level where it can be assumed that the corrosion will not continue to progress and the display itself will keep working without any problems. The advantage for the customer is the repair cost – definitely lower than replacing it with a new complete unit.

In such cases, when we carry out the repair, we also provide a warranty for our service.

Additional repair conditions:

  • 1-2 working days after delivering the unit to our company
  • on site, while you wait, after prior arrangement of the date and terms
