Complete loss of sound
The audio system is silent despite the MMI being switched on. After checking the module, we determine whether the cause is a fault in the amplifier or the connections and outline the repair.
Do you hear silence from the speakers, crackling, or is MMI rebooting in a loop? We repair Audi Bose amplifiers fitted in Audi A6 C6, Q7 4L, A8 D3 and TT 8J. Send just the module with a description of the symptoms, and we will check it in the workshop.

The Audi Bose amplifier is a factory sound amplifier fitted to selected Audi models: A6 C6 (2004–2011), Q7 4L (2006–2015), A8 D3 (2002–2010) and TT 8J (2007–2014). The electronics are made by Bose.
You will find the part number on the housing label. Example references include 4L0 035 223A, 4L0 035 223D, 8J0 035 223A and 8J0 035 223F. We service Bose amplifiers from these Audi models.
In your enquiry, send a photo of the label with the part number and describe the symptoms. For service, send only the removed module — we check the module in the workshop, not the car.
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.
The audio system is silent despite the MMI being switched on. After checking the module, we determine whether the cause is a fault in the amplifier or the connections and outline the repair.
Sound works only through some speakers, or some channels are much quieter. We check the amplifier circuits, damaged components and connections.
Loud crackling, whistling or noise and sound distortion appear. We identify the cause after diagnosing the module and remove electrical faults or corrosion.
The MMI system may reset or fail to start. After checking the module, we will confirm whether the amplifier is involved and outline the repair.
Only one speaker works, and diagnostic testing shows channel 47 fault. The system may remain locked even with a fully working amplifier, so we confirm the cause after checking the module.

We connect the removed module and check communication, faults and module operation. After inspection, we confirm the scope of work and the price, and start the repair after your approval.
We remove corrosion, rebuild tracks and replace damaged electronic components. In the event of water damage, we clean and protect the circuits, then test operation.
After repair, we test the unit, check communication and system operation. We return the safely packaged module and issue a VAT invoice and a written warranty.
We rebuild your unit instead of replacing it with another one. Before repair, we confirm the scope of work and the price, and we start the work after your approval.
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.
01
Write what is happening in the vehicle, state the make, model and year. Add a photo of the device, the error screen or the nameplate sticker, if you have one. On that basis, we will initially assess whether we can help.
02
Not sure whether to remove the radio, screen, amplifier or another unit? We will advise which component to check, how to prepare it for shipping and how to pack the parcel safely.
03
In the workshop we carry out diagnostics, confirm the source of the problem and define the scope of work. We send a quote for approval. We only start work after your approval.
04
We remove the cause of the fault, test the device and send it back safely packed for refitting. Every repair we carry out is covered by a warranty.
A few practical answers about the amplifier and the enquiry procedure.
You can first check continuity of the MOST bus with a fibre-optic loop, or send the module to us. Once we receive the module, we will carry out diagnostics and confirm the cause.
Send the module to the workshop. We will check the extent of the corrosion, clean the board, replace damaged components and protect the electronics against corrosion.
The number is on the sticker on the module casing. Take a photo of the label and send it with your enquiry — this will speed up identification.
No. If you decline, the unit cannot be repaired or the fault lies outside it, diagnostics and return shipping are free. We start the repair after your approval.
