The radio works,
but there is no sound?
In this case, it is not always the radio itself that needs repairing. The sound may be handled by a separate amplifier, and the fault may also lie in the wiring. First we will ask what is working and from which speakers the sound has disappeared.

The menu works, but there is no music
Tell us whether the silence occurs on FM radio, Bluetooth and any other sources you use. If one of them still works, that is a valuable clue. It will help us determine what should be checked before removing the unit.
There is a separate amplifier in the car
Please give the name of the sound system, for example BOSE, Harman Kardon or Logic7, if you know it. A photo of the amplifier label will also help if you can access it. The system name alone does not yet indicate a specific unit version.
One speaker or the whole system is not working
Describe whether the problem affects one side, a single speaker or everything at once. You do not need to look for the faulty part yourself. We will start the conversation about the next checks from that information.
The amplifier has been in contact with water
Tell us straight away and attach any photos you have. We will check whether the unit can be repaired. Before refitting it, the point where water is getting into the car also needs to be found and fixed.
You can arrange checks in the car in Katowice
A chosen workshop in Katowice can inspect the wiring and remove the indicated unit. We will handle the equipment in the workshop and give you a repair price. Work on the car is arranged separately with the workshop.

From Katowice to the workshop and back
01
You report the problem
Send a photo of the radio, give the model and year of the car, and describe what is not working. If you do not know the name of the unit, we will help identify it. We will tell you whether we deal with this equipment and what needs to be sent for inspection. We usually reply within 24 hours on working days.
02
You prepare the unit
Once we have established what needs to be sent, you can have the unit removed by a local workshop. Protect the screen and connectors, and pack the unit so it cannot move inside the box. Follow our guidance in the packing instructions.
03
You hand over the parcel
We can arrange a courier on request. Provide the parcel collection address and the address to which we should return the unit. If a workshop is sending it, please also agree who we should contact about the repair price.
04
You decide on the repair
We inspect the unit and provide a repair price. You decide whether to proceed. Once you approve, we repair the unit and test it before return. If anything still does not work after installation, contact us and describe the problem.
You know the cost first.
Then you decide.
Repair after quote approval
Before dispatching, we give an estimated cost. After checking the unit, we confirm the price and wait for your approval.
Decide not to go ahead? You pay nothing for diagnostics or postage
If you decide against the repair, the unit cannot be repaired, or the fault lies elsewhere, diagnostics and return postage are free.
You pay after the repair
By bank transfer before the unit is sent back, or cash on delivery on receipt. We issue a VAT invoice.
24
months' warranty for selected repairs
We provide a 12- or 24-month written warranty for the repair carried out and the parts replaced — in line with the offer for your unit.
Show the unit and describe the problem.
The screen works, you can change stations, but there is no sound from the speakers? Before buying a new radio, it is worth finding out where the silence is coming from. Tell us whether there is no sound from FM radio, Bluetooth and any other sources you use, or only from one. Also say whether you can still hear phone calls or navigation prompts. That will help describe the problem more precisely than just “the audio does not work”.
No sound or crackling from the speakers
Tell us which of these situations applies:
- There is no sound from FM, Bluetooth or USB
- One speaker or one side is not working
- Crackling appears while listening
- Loud interference is heard when switching on
- The menu works, but there is no music
- The amplifier stopped working after contact with water
Can't see your problem here? Describe it in your own words. We'll check whether we can help.
Should you repair the radio or the amplifier?
First we need to establish how the sound system in your car is set up. In one Ford case, the customer pointed to a different component than the ACM audio module that was actually at fault. Only after clarifying which unit was involved could we prepare an offer. That is why we ask for a photo and any markings available. The part visible on the dashboard is not always the one that needs to be sent.
If one speaker is not working, describe which one. If the whole car is silent, tell us whether the menu still works and whether any other sounds can be heard. Do you have a diagnostic report? Send it with the exact codes and the name of the module tested. The phrase “amplifier fault” alone does not show what was checked, and the tester’s message does not always mean there is damage inside the unit.
For a water-damaged amplifier, we assess the condition of the specific unit. In one case described to us, a burnt section of the board meant we could not offer a repair — so we do not promise one on the basis of photos alone. If the unit is damp, do not switch it on again just to record the symptom. A photo and description are enough. Regardless of the amplifier repair, the cause of water getting into the car must be removed.
No sound or crackling — what should you describe in your enquiry?
Write where and when the sound disappears. This will help us work out whether to check the radio, a separate amplifier, or first the connections in the car. The following will be useful:
- The car make, model and year, plus the sound system name, e.g. BOSE or Harman Kardon, if you know it.
- A photo of the radio and the visible amplifier marking. Do not remove it just to send the first question.
- Information on whether all speakers are silent, one side only, or a single speaker.
- The sources where the problem occurs: FM, Bluetooth, USB or others. Also say whether phone calls can be heard.
- When the interference appears, whether the unit has been in contact with water, and what has already been checked in the workshop.
You do not need to know the answer to everything. Send us what you have, and we'll ask about the missing details.
Will buying another radio fix the lack of sound?
Only if the fault really lies in the radio and the fitted unit is compatible with the car. Damage to a separate amplifier, speaker or connection needs that part checked. Before buying a replacement radio, agree with the workshop what has already been ruled out, and send us the results.
A used amplifier must be matched to the car’s specific equipment. The name BOSE or Harman Kardon alone is not enough. Check the full number, confirmed compatibility and the unit’s condition, as well as any post-installation requirements. You can compare the price of such a replacement with the quote for repairing your own unit.
Before sending in the unit
Will radio repair help if the separate amplifier has failed?
It will not remove an amplifier fault. That is why, before you send anything, we ask what equipment is in the car and exactly what is not working. If the screen and menus work but there is no sound from the speakers, tell us that straight away. We’ll help you work out which component is worth checking; sometimes measurements in the car are needed first.
Is the BOSE or Harman Kardon label enough for a quote?
It is useful information, but different units are sold under the same name. Add the model and year of the car, plus a photo of the amplifier or its sticker if you can access it. The full part number lets us identify the exact unit and check whether it can be repaired.
Can I report crackling if the music is still playing?
Yes. Tell us whether the crackling can be heard from all speakers and with every audio source, or for example only over Bluetooth. It also helps to know whether it appears straight away, after listening for a while, or even when the music is muted.
Do you repair amplifiers after water damage?
We check whether a repair is possible once we know the model and the damage. Describe what happened and show any visible signs of water if you can access them. Before refitting, the leak in the car also needs to be fixed so the unit is not flooded again.
How do you determine the repair cost?
After the fault has been described, we give an estimated cost. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit, before we start the repair. It depends on the model and on what has failed. You decide whether you accept the proposed repair.
Who will remove the radio and reinstall it after the repair?
You can have these jobs done by a local workshop. First we will tell you which unit needs to be removed and whether any additional parts will be needed. You agree the removal and refitting price directly with the workshop. If it has already checked the problem in the car, send us its findings.
How long will the repair take?
Ask about the lead time when you submit the enquiry — it depends on the unit and the work required. We will agree when we can check it and when the repair should be completed. For mail-in repairs, please also allow for transport time both ways, as well as removing and refitting the radio.
How should the unit be prepared for transport?
Protect the screen, connectors and protruding parts. Use a rigid cardboard box and fill any empty spaces so the unit cannot move around. Pack any extra items separately so they do not knock against each other. Include the details provided when you made your enquiry. Photos and guidance can be found in the packing instructions.
