Permanent locking of the Bosch Nissan LCN radio, as well as the matching Suzuki MC EU / Opel MC Antara units, is the state of complete locking of the system after the PIN has been entered incorrectly ten times. The unit then displays the message: „Incorrect PIN entered too many times. System is now locked. Contact your Nissan dealer.” In practice, this means the radio stops accepting any codes and will not unlock on its own, for example after waiting or disconnecting the power supply.
Have you bought a used Nissan, replaced the battery, or simply one day seen this message on the radio screen: „Incorrect PIN entered too many times. System is now locked. Contact your Nissan dealer.” Sound familiar?
In an instant you lose access to everything: navigation, music and the Bluetooth hands-free kit. All that remains on the screen is a useless, frustrating message.
Before you spend from 500 zł to 1500 zł on a used radio, with a high risk that it will also be locked or the seller won’t have the code for it, or decide on an expensive replacement at the dealer, it is worth pausing for a moment.
In this article we explain why the radio locked itself and what effective, non-invasive unlocking looks like when we carry it out. The whole service usually takes 1 working day, costs 300 zł incl. VAT, and for the recovered code you receive an unlimited warranty from us.
How do you identify the unit?
The simplest method is a visual identification of the radio, that is, assessing the appearance of the front panel, and checking the label on the casing after removal. These units were manufactured by Bosch.
The service covers the entire Bosch LCN / MC EU range, which was fitted in many brands.
Model variants covered by the service:
Our unlocking service applies to the following models: • Nissan Connect LCN (including LCN1, LCN2, LCN3) • Suzuki MC EU • MC Proton • MC Corsa EU • MC Hyundai • MC Antara
Fitment (car models)
You will most often find these units in the following car models:
- Nissan: Qashqai (J10, J11, J12, P32L, X02A, X11C, X11E, X12C variants), Juke (F15), Note, Micra (K12, K13), Navara, X-Trail
- Suzuki: SX4, Ignis, S-Cross, Vitara.
- Opel: Corsa C, Antara.
Part numbers (Part Number)
You will find the Bosch catalogue number, i.e. the Part Number, on the radio label. If it appears on the list below, your radio qualifies for unlocking.
7612830001,7612830020, 7612830021, 7612830022, 7612830023, 7612830024, 7612830025, 7612830026, 7612830032, 7612830034, 7612830035, 7612830050, 7612830052, 7612830055, 7612830059, 7612830091, 7612830092, 7612830093, 7612830094, 7612830095, 7612830104, 7612830111, 7612830113, 7612830115, 7612830129, 7612830142
Symptoms of a complete radio lock
The main symptom is the message „System is now locked” and a completely locked screen that no longer allows you to enter the code. In practice, this means the attempt limit, for example 10, has been definitively exhausted.
1. Message „Incorrect PIN entered too many times”
This is the key signal. Instead of a request for a code, the screen displays the message: „Incorrect PIN entered too many times. System is now locked. Contact your Nissan dealer.”

This message appears when the user, for example you or the previous owner, has tried to “guess” the code and exceeded the permitted number of attempts.
2. No way to enter the code
In this state the radio is completely locked. Touching the screen or buttons does not bring up the keypad for entering the PIN code. Importantly, the radio will not accept even the correct code if you only find it at this point.
3. Consequences – loss of functions
This is not just an error displayed on the screen. In other words, it means a complete loss of functionality:
• No music: you lose access to FM/AM radio, the CD player and the AUX input.
• Useless navigation: the factory navigation stops working.
• No hands-free kit: you cannot connect your phone via Bluetooth.
• Drop in vehicle value: a car with a faulty factory system is usually seen as defective when resold.
Seeing this message? It does not mean the radio is damaged. In practice, we can unlock it in 1 day.
Why does a Nissan LCN radio lock permanently?
This is not a hardware fault, but an intentional software function, or firmware. It activates after 10 incorrect PIN entry attempts. The authorised dealer dealer has no procedure to reset this lock, so the standard recommendation is replacement of the unit only.
1. Cause: Power loss or purchasing the vehicle
The problem usually starts innocently enough. The radio asks for a PIN code most often in two situations:
- After a power loss (e.g. battery replacement, electrical repair).
- After buying a used vehicle, when the seller did not provide the code or simply did not know it themselves.
2. Cause: Exceeding the 10-attempt limit
The user, not knowing the code, tries to “guess” it. Unfortunately, after 10 incorrect attempts, the system activates a permanent lock.
3. Result: System lock
This is the crux of the problem. The radio switches to “locked” mode (as in the photo). Technically it remains fully functional, but the software prevents any further code entry attempts. It is worth noting that Authorised Service Centres (authorised dealer) in this situation do not have a service procedure to reset this lock. Their only standard solution is to replace the entire radio with a new one, which means a cost of several thousand złoty.
Non-invasive repair process for a locked LCN radio
The service takes 1 working day and is 100% non-invasive, meaning no soldering is required. It involves sending us the radio removed from the vehicle. We recover your original code and reset the lock.
Step 1: Removing and sending the radio
The service requires work at a service bench, so the radio must be removed from the car. You do not need to come in person. Simply pack the unit safely and send it to our service address.
Step 2: Verification and approval
Once we receive the parcel, we connect the radio on the test bench. We confirm the “locked” status, i.e. the visible lock message, and contact you to confirm the final cost (300 zł incl. VAT) and completion time (1 day working day).
Step 3: Non-invasive unlocking
This is the key stage, which clearly sets our service apart. We do not take the radio apart and do not solder any wires to the main board, as most companies still do.
We use a proprietary adapter (jig), which we connect to the factory service points (JTAG) on the main board. JTAG — the standard service interface for communicating with electronics — allows this operation to be carried out in a 100% non-invasive way and safely for the electronics.

Using this specialist interface, we can safely:
- We reset the counter of incorrect attempts, which in practice “unlocks” the radio.
- We read your unique 4-digit PIN code directly from the flash memory, i.e. non-volatile memory.

4. Step 4: Testing and return
After unlocking, we enter the recovered PIN code to confirm it is correct. We then test all radio functions, such as FM radio, navigation, etc., and send back a fully working unit, most often on the same day, together with the recovered PIN code.
Price, turnaround time and warranty
The service costs 300 zł incl. VAT, takes 1 working day from the moment the radio is received, and the recovered code comes with a perpetual warranty of correctness.
What is included in the price:
- Diagnostics on the test bench.
- Non-invasive unlocking of the radio, i.e. resetting the error counter.
- Reading the original PIN code.
- Testing after the service is carried out.
- Perpetual warranty on the correctness of the code.
- Return of the equipment to the customer.
It is worth comparing this amount with the alternatives below. For 300 zł, you get a reliable and safe solution.
OEMatic unlocking vs used unit vs authorised dealer
The comparison of costs and risk clearly shows that unlocking for 300 zł at OEMatic is, in practice, the only logical and safe way to solve the “System is now locked” problem.
1. The risk of buying a used radio
Buying a used unit for 500-1500 zł is, in practice, a lottery. These radios are also code-protected, which means there is a high risk that you will buy a radio:
- Without the code, because the seller does not know it.
- With the “System is now locked” lock already activated.
- Coming from an unreliable source. In other words, you may spend money and still be left with the same problem.
2. Why can’t an authorised dealer help?
Authorised Service Centres (authorised dealer) usually do not have service procedures for resetting the software lock, i.e. the firmware, after 10 incorrect attempts. In practice, their only solution is often to replace the entire, technically sound radio with a new one. This is a disproportionately expensive option, as it costs several thousand złoty.
