What is happening with your radio?
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.
The radio freezes
The buttons stop responding, the display shows the station, and the unit may need the ignition reset to start working again. The cause may be damaged discrete components in the audio path. We inspect the module and confirm the scope of repair after diagnostics.
No station search
When SEEK is pressed, the radio scans the band but does not stop on a station, or does not search at all. This does not have to be the aerial — the symptom may indicate a fault in the audio path. We confirm the cause after checking the module.
CD works, radio does not
The CD player works correctly, but when switched to FM/AM there is no sound from the speakers. This may indicate a fault in the radio section of the audio path. After checking the module, we determine the scope of repair.
Random muting
The sound switches on and off at random, the display stays active, and the buttons may respond inconsistently. It may not be a wiring issue; we confirm the cause after checking the module. In the workshop, we diagnose the audio circuit and determine the scope of repair.
Complete loss of sound
The radio switches on, the display lights up, and there is no sound from the speakers. We determine the cause after checking the module and repair the audio path if necessary.
