Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers Honda Jazz I: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Honda Jazz I?
Yes, we service the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from the Honda Jazz I once the removed module has been sent to the workshop; we check the unit on receipt. We do not support Android replacements; we confirm originality from the label and part number.
Is repairing the factory module worthwhile instead of replacing it in the Honda Jazz I?
We assess whether it is worthwhile after checking the removed module: an initial quote based on photos, and the final price after the module has been checked and you have approved it. Repair makes sense when the fault concerns the electronic components of the factory module and the function can be restored.
How is the quote for radio repair in the Honda Jazz I prepared?
Before sending it, provide the make, model, year, description of the symptoms, and a photo of the panel and label – on that basis we will give an initial quote. We will give the exact price after the removed module has been checked at the workshop; repair will proceed after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car in, or how do I send the module from the Honda Jazz I?
Do not send the car – send the removed module to the workshop; we repair by post from all over Poland. Protect the screen and connectors, place the module in a rigid box with padding, and pack any additional items separately; in-person delivery is possible by appointment.
What should I prepare before submitting a Honda Jazz I radio for repair?
Before submitting it, prepare the car’s make, model and year, a detailed description of the symptoms, and a photo of the panel and the nameplate label from the removed module.
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier Honda Jazz I covers the factory Honda MF624RV / MF622RV (Alpine) radio, used in 2002–2008.
How do you recognise the Alpine radio from the Honda Jazz I?
The radio has two large knobs, VOL and TUNE, with SEEK and SKIP buttons between them. The model designation and part number are shown on the green label on the back of the housing, visible once the radio has been removed from the console.
Symptoms of a radio freezing up
For these radios, we repair the fault where the unit stops responding to commands. The description from our enquiries is as follows:
- the buttons stop responding, although the display lights up and shows the station,
- FM and AM station search does not work,
- the CD player works properly, but the radio does not,
- the sound switches on and off at random, or disappears completely.
Turning the ignition off and on again only helps for a short time, and the fault gets worse over time. The cause is damaged electronic components in the radio, not the aerial or the fuse.
What do we check and what do we need?
Only the removed radio is sent to the workshop. We check whether the fault matches the description, then provide the price and scope of work for approval. In your enquiry, describe how long after switching on the radio stops responding, and attach a photo of the panel and the green label. Also give the car’s make, model and year. We prepare an initial quote based on photos and the description. We repair factory radios; units with Android fitted in place of them are not accepted.
