HSRNS is a 7″ touchscreen navigation unit fitted in many Ford models.
We can come across devices in the following versions:
- HSRNS DVD – the lower navigation reader in the form of a DVD drive
- HSRNS SD, i.e. HSMCA – a newer version in facelift cars, with the navigation drive in the form of an SD card reader
We are able to repair a device that:
- does not switch on at all (a typical symptom is current draw of around 0.2A)
- resets after using the HOME button in the navigation system
- repeatedly resets, asking for the device PIN code
- switches on only briefly after heating the main board
- freezes in the main menu, the touch panel does not work
- there is no climate control
- only shows volume settings and does not respond to the other buttons
- resets when switched on
- has torn pads on the main board, under the S29GL512 flash memory chip
- has a locked code entry counter or does not accept the original code
- draws additional current in standby mode, which results in a flat battery
- does not read CDs / DVDs or SD memory cards
- GPS does not work properly or at all
- the keyboard or potentiometers (volume, selection) do not work
- the display or touch panel is damaged
- has another fault not listed above
Additional information about the repair:
- 1-2 working days after delivering the unit to our company
- on site, while you wait, after prior arrangement of the date and terms
