Black screen and no sound — what does that mean for the NXF-9138ZT?
If the Pioneer NXF-9138ZT (ID P10443) draws power but does not boot the system, the screen stays black, and no source works, this may point to a fault in the main unit. That was the case in one enquiry: an external display connected in place of the factory one worked correctly, while with the original unit the screen stayed black.
In your enquiry, tell us when the fault appeared and which sources are silent: FM, DAB+, Bluetooth, DVD. Also state whether the unit was drawing current and whether the problem appeared after connecting a booster or after a voltage spike.
What do we check during the repair and how do we test it after refurbishment?
We repair the unit at component level. We refurbish the P10443 main board — replacing faulty components on the board instead of replacing the entire unit. The fault can affect different sections of the main board, including after a voltage spike.
Before and after the repair, we connect the module to a test bench with an LCD display and joystick, front panel, the correct wiring loom and amplifier, plus a 12V power supply. We check the image on the LCD (menu, navigation, radio), sound through the amplifier and DVD playback.
Repairing your own unit or buying a used one — what should you check?
When buying a used unit, check the full part number and equipment specification. The wording on the casing or a similar-looking screen do not confirm interchangeability.
Before deciding, send us the details from your unit’s label. If you know the catalogue number, add it to the enquiry.
