What happens to your MIB3 Preh?
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.
No sound from any source
The touchscreen and reversing camera may work, yet there is still no sound from FM, Bluetooth or navigation. This may be caused by damaged components in the audio path inside the module. We test the module on a test bench and refurbish the sound-processing section.
Crackling and constant buzzing
The radio starts crackling, then locks onto one tone and buzzes until the key is removed. The buzzing only stops after a short time, once the capacitors discharge. This may result from damage in the module's audio path. We confirm the cause after diagnosis and remove the damaged components.
Lock-up with the radio switched off
The module may lock up even when the radio is switched off, and after restarting there is still no sound. This symptom may indicate a fault inside the MIB3 module. We check the audio inputs, audio-path processing and outputs to the speakers after receiving the module.
Screen and camera work, no sound
The display, touchscreen and reversing camera work normally, but there is no signal to the speakers. The problem may be before the power amplifier, inside the module. We diagnose it on a bench that simulates the car and repair the audio path.
