Zenec ZE-NC2010 is a navigation radio by Zenec. It is not factory-fitted equipment, but a unit designed for VW cars (including Golf V/VI, Tiguan, Passat, Touran) and SEAT models from around 2003–2012.
You can identify it by the ZE-NC2010 model designation on the housing and by symptoms such as the message “Update failed! No more space for upgrade”.
When submitting a request, please send a photo of the label or sticker with the part number. You send us the removed module only; after inspection we will confirm the scope of work and the price.
What is happening to your Zenec ZE-NC2010 radio?
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.
Update failed message
The message “Update failed! No more space for upgrade” appears on the screen and the unit freezes during an update attempt. The cause may be damaged nand memory; after checking the module, we reprogram the memory chip.
The radio is asking for a code that does not work
When switched on, the radio asks for a security code, but the entered code is not accepted and an error appears. The cause may be the configuration or security software; after checking the module, we restore the ability to unlock it and set a new code.
We reprogram the NAND memory chip (for example K9F1G08/K9F1G08U0C) and write the device software.
Removing the lock
We restore the security system settings so the radio can be unlocked and secured again.
Test and update
After the repair we test the touchscreen panel and CD drive, and load the latest possible software version. The map version remains as it was before the repair.
Repair of your unit
We repair your module: when the memory is repaired, the code lock problem disappears, and the navigation database remains as it was originally.
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.
Write what is happening in the vehicle, state the make, model and year. Add a photo of the device, the error screen or the nameplate sticker, if you have one. On that basis, we will initially assess whether we can help.

Definitely recommended. Very fast repair and very good, speedy communication. Information was available at every stage of the repair request process — an online repair management system. The unit (radio) was already meant to be written off and replaced with another used one. Fortunately, I accidentally found the OEMatic blog while looking for a replacement, and it saved me from replacing it with another used unit, which would have been a loss for the appearance (the fronts of the replacements I found were not in such good condition, and all of them were older than my unit from pre-facelift models); the newer ones were more expensive than the repair. The Harman-Kardon amplifier in my BMW F33 was flooded, so I decided to hand it over to OEMatic. A quick check to see whether it could be saved — yes! it could! A few days later the amplifier was back with me after repair.
For a moment I also had doubts whether only the amplifier had been damaged by the flooding, because I lost the ability to set the time and information such as instant fuel consumption or average fuel consumption disappeared; after a phone call I was told that this can happen because of a break in the car’s CAN circuit due to the amplifier being absent.
The theory proved correct, and fitting the already repaired amplifier helped and all the functions returned.
I hope the amplifier will serve for a long time to come and without faults.

Answers to questions about ZE-NC2010 repairs and code locks, as well as memory problems.
What does the message “Update failed! No more space for upgrade” mean?
This message may appear when there is a problem with the nand memory and the update process has frozen. We check the memory in our workshop and reprogram it.
Why does the code entered not unlock the radio?
When the Anti Theft function is enabled and no code has been set, after restarting the radio will not accept any code, including 0000 read from the memory. After checking the module, we remove the lock and restore the ability to set your own code.
Will memory repair delete the navigation maps?
Repairing the nand memory does not affect the map version stored in the unit. After repair, the software can be updated, while the map database remains unchanged.
Can I read the code myself and unlock the radio?
Technically, reading the code from the memory is possible, but doing it yourself may not solve the lock issue. We check the module in our workshop and carry out the unlock.
Will I be charged for diagnostics if I decide not to go ahead?
No. If you decide not to proceed, or if the unit cannot be repaired or the fault lies outside the module, diagnostics and return shipping are free of charge. We start the repair after you accept the scope of work and the price.
