Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of radios, navigation units and amplifiers for Volkswagen Golf VI: booking, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation unit and amplifier in the Volkswagen Golf VI model?

Yes, we repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers from the Volkswagen Golf VI model; we check the delivered removed original modules. We do not repair Android-type replacements; originality is verified by the sticker, and we carry out the service by post from across Poland.

Is repair in the Volkswagen Golf VI model worth it instead of replacement?

Whether repair is worthwhile in the Volkswagen Golf VI model depends on the type of fault and the result of checking the removed module. After an initial assessment, we confirm the scope of work, provide an offer and only carry it out after your approval.

What does the quote for module repair in the Volkswagen Golf VI model look like?

The quote for the Volkswagen Golf VI model starts with an indicative offer based on the photos and description sent before posting. After checking the removed module, we provide a detailed repair proposal and confirmed price; the work will be carried out after your approval.

Does the module from the Volkswagen Golf VI model need to be brought in person, or can it be sent?

You can send the removed module from the Volkswagen Golf VI model from anywhere in Poland to the workshop, or deliver it in person by prior arrangement. You send only the module, not the car; before posting, protect the screen and connectors and pack the unit in a rigid box with padding.

What should be prepared before submitting a module from the Volkswagen Golf VI model?

When submitting a module from the Volkswagen Golf VI model, prepare the make, model, year, description of the symptoms, and a photo of the unit, panel and nameplate sticker. You do not need to know the exact radio name – we will ask for the part number if it is needed.

Repair of the radio, navigation unit and amplifier in the Volkswagen Golf VI covers three factory radio-navigation units and the Dynaudio amplifier.

Which devices do we service in the Golf VI?

In the Volkswagen Golf VI we check and repair the following factory modules:

  • RNS310 (Bosch) – unit from approx. 2008–2014,
  • RNS315 (TechniSat) – unit from approx. 2010–2015,
  • RNS510 (Continental) – unit from approx. 2008–2016,
  • AMP600 amplifier (Dynaudio).

How can you tell the problem may be in the module?

Symptoms depend on the device:

  • RNS510: popping noises and bass hum from the speakers, a reset loop after the welcome logo, battery drain or no communication over CAN,
  • RNS315: “Please insert software CD!” message, freezing, resets, no response to the power button or NAVI,
  • RNS310: white screen with “Software update needed” message or a flashing screen after the brand logo,
  • AMP600: sudden crackling, after which the sound disappears, and current draw while parked.

In cars with Dynaudio sound systems, crackling and popping do not necessarily mean an amplifier fault – the source may be the RNS510.

How do checking and quoting work?

We check the removed module, not the car. If it is not clear whether the radio or the amplifier is at fault, we will determine which device to send before removal. We repair original factory modules; we do not accept Android-type replacements.

We prepare an initial, indicative quote based on the fault description and photos of the device and the label with the part number. After checking, we confirm the scope of work and the price, and carry out the repair after your approval.
