Asks for code / locked
The unit has two codes: separate ones for the radio and for the navigation. After checking the module, we determine whether it can be unlocked and confirm the scope of work.
Is the radio asking for a code or is it locked? We service Porsche PCM1 Becker / Siemens from the Porsche 911 (996) and Boxster (986). Send just the removed module with a description of the symptoms, and we will check it in our workshop.

PCM1 is the system that manages audio, navigation and communication functions in Porsche. The first versions were developed in cooperation between Becker and Siemens. You will find it in the 911 (996) and Boxster (986) models from around 1998–2004.
The unit is also known as IDIS – BE2560, BE2580 and BE2582. Its architecture includes SAB80C535 and SAK-C167SR-LM processors, as well as flash and EEPROM memory. Example part numbers are 996.642.102.04 and 5WK78003.
In your enquiry, if you can, please include the part number from the label. Send a photo of the label before posting if you are unsure of the model. Send only the removed module for repair; we check the module, not the car.
The symptoms help describe the problem. We confirm the cause after checking the module.

We check the removed module in our workshop. After inspection, we confirm the scope of work and the price.
We determine whether the radio and navigation can be unlocked and carry out the service once the repair scope has been approved.
After the repair, we test the module and send it back by courier, safely packed. If you decide not to proceed or the unit cannot be repaired, the diagnosis and return are free of charge.
We work on your own unit; we do not replace it with a unit from the market. We confirm the scope of work after checking the module.
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.

02
Not sure whether to remove the radio, screen, amplifier or another unit? We will advise which component to check, how to prepare it for shipping and how to pack the parcel safely.
03
In the workshop we carry out diagnostics, confirm the source of the problem and define the scope of work. We send a quote for approval. We only start work after your approval.
