MIB STD2 PQ is a factory multimedia unit fitted to VAG group cars from 2015–2020 (the start date depends on the car model). It is found, among others, in the Seat Alhambra II (7N), Škoda Yeti (5L) and selected Volkswagens.
On the label you will find the manufacturer TechniSat or Preh, as well as part numbers such as 5C0035680D, 5L0035680E, 7N5035680D or 5C0035200. The part number helps confirm that it is MIB STD2 PQ.
When submitting a repair request, describe the symptom and when it occurs. Send us the removed module; we will check it in our workshop and confirm the scope of work.
The symptoms help describe the problem. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module in our workshop.
The display shows an image, but the touch does not respond. The cause may be a damaged digitizer — we check the touch layer and confirm the repair scope.
The touch works only on part of the screen, so you cannot enter an address or move the slider all the way. We determine whether the problem is caused by broken digitizer tracks and repair it once approved.
The unit changes functions or selects stations on its own, as if someone were pressing the screen. This may indicate a damaged touch layer; we check the module and confirm the repair scope.
The side buttons may respond intermittently or stop working once touch problems appear. After checking the module, we repair the touch and verify the buttons.
After we receive the removed module, we connect it to our test bench and confirm the fault. Once checked, we confirm the scope of work and the price.
We disconnect the ribbon cable of the damaged touch layer from the main board, fit a new touch layer, and connect its ribbon cable in place of the old one.
We check the touch, buttons and unit functions, then secure and return the module after testing.
A used module from an advert may have a hidden fault or Component Protection lockout. We refurbish your original module and check it before returning it.
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.
01
Write what is happening in the vehicle, state the make, model and year. Add a photo of the device, the error screen or the nameplate sticker, if you have one. On that basis, we will initially assess whether we can help.
02
Not sure whether to remove the radio, screen, amplifier or another unit? We will advise which component to check, how to prepare it for shipping and how to pack the parcel safely.
03
In the workshop we carry out diagnostics, confirm the source of the problem and define the scope of work. We send a quote for approval. We only start work after your approval.
04
We remove the cause of the fault, test the device and send it back safely packed for refitting. Every repair we carry out is covered by a warranty.

Replacement requires precise fitting and testing, which we carry out in our workshop.
No. If you decide not to proceed, or if the unit cannot be repaired or the fault lies outside it, diagnostics and return shipping are free. We start the repair after you approve the scope and price.
