Scania AUS4 Basic is a factory radio made by Harman Becker, fitted in next-generation Scania P, G, R and S models from around 2017. The unit has a 5-inch colour screen and does not include navigation functions.
Check the label on the casing: the model appears as Scania AUS4 Basic or Scania AUS4 Basic DAB, and the part numbers are HB A557 (without DAB) or HB A558 (with DAB). The sticker also shows the manufacturer Harman Becker and Scania markings.
When submitting the request, send a photo of the label and describe the symptom (squeal, no sound, fluctuating volume, freezing on the logo or no power). You send the removed module to our workshop; we check the module in our workshop, not the vehicle.
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.
A loud, high-pitched squeal may come from the speakers, regardless of the audio source and even when the radio is switched off. This may indicate an electronic fault in the audio path on the main board. We check and refurbish the audio circuit on the main board.
The screen works, but there is no sound from the speakers from any source (FM, DAB, USB, Bluetooth). This may be a symptom of damage to the audio path on the main board. After checking the module, we repair the components responsible for sound.
The volume indicator may change by itself between levels, even though the knob is turned smoothly. This symptom may be caused by faults in the audio path or control components on the board. We check and fix the fault on the main board.
The radio stops on the logo and does not start up any further. From conversations with customers, this is sometimes the result of damage caused by voltage surges, for example when jump-starting from an additional power source. We confirm the cause after checking the module.
The unit does not respond, there may be no backlight or sound, and current draw may be visible on the ammeter. The fault may lie in the power circuit on the main board. We check the module and replace the damaged components of the power circuit, without replacing the entire main board.
We test the removed module at our workshop, then confirm the scope of work and the price. We only start the repair after your approval.
We remove damage to the audio path or power circuit by repairing the components on the main board, without replacing the entire unit.
After the repair, we test the unit, pack the module safely and send it back to you.
A used radio from another tractor may be locked to the chassis number and require coding. We refurbish your original unit.

A service absolutely worth recommending. After years of problems with the infotainment head unit in my Skoda Superb constantly freezing and resetting, the MIB was finally repaired. The radio from a Mercedes ML W164 2007 NTG2 BE 6089 had its fault diagnosed extremely quickly, and the repair was carried out just as fast.

VW Touran radio, I sent it to the company because the reversing camera was not working and the radio would not turn on. Sent by courier. Diagnosis: no faults. Definitely recommended. Very fast repair and very good, speedy communication. Information was available at every stage of the repair request process — an online repair management system. The unit (radio) was already meant to be written off and replaced with another used one. Fortunately, I accidentally found the OEMatic blog while looking for a replacement, and it saved me from replacing it with another used unit, which would have been a loss for the appearance (the fronts of the replacements I found were not in such good condition, and all of them were older than my unit from pre-facelift models); the newer ones were more expensive than the repair. So that’s a plus too.

For a long time I’d been battling an annoying problem in my VW Passat B8 — the car radio kept losing sound. Fortunately, I found OEMatic Car Media Lab and it was a perfect choice!

The Harman-Kardon amplifier in my BMW F33 was flooded, so I decided to hand it over to OEMatic. A quick check to see whether it could be saved — yes! it could! A few days later the amplifier was back with me after repair.
For a moment I also had doubts whether only the amplifier had been damaged by the flooding, because I lost the ability to set the time and information such as instant fuel consumption or average fuel consumption disappeared; after a phone call I was told that this can happen because of a break in the car’s CAN circuit due to the amplifier being absent.
The theory proved correct, and fitting the already repaired amplifier helped and all the functions returned.
I hope the amplifier will serve for a long time to come and without faults.

The content of the reviews I read quickly convinced me to have my unit repaired at OeMatic. I expected the highest quality of service at every stage and that is exactly what I received. After the phone call I received all the information needed for shipping by text message.
