Mercedes-Benz Comand NTG4.5 is a factory radio-navigation unit used, among others, in Mercedes W166, W176, W204, C207/W212, W246 and SLK R172 models from around 2011–2015. The unit combines radio, navigation and media playback functions.
Units in this series were made by Melco, Harman Becker and Matsushita. If you do not know the manufacturer, just describe the symptoms when you submit the job.
When submitting the unit, give the car model and describe the symptom: no picture, restarts, no sound, or a problem with discs or the SD card. Send us only the removed module; before sending, you may email a photo of the label with the part number.
The symptoms help describe the fault. We confirm the cause after checking the removed module.

No CD/DVD reading, the map update stops at the request for DVD2, and there may also be a problem with the hard drive or SD slot. We check the module and then suggest the scope of repair.
We connect the removed module and check the symptoms and the cause. After diagnosis, we confirm the scope of work and the price before starting the repair.
The scope of work may include mechanical and electronic damage: the CD drive, SD slot, hard drive and corrosion caused by water ingress.
After repair, we test the unit, pack it securely and send it back. We issue a VAT invoice and provide a written warranty.
We repair your module instead of replacing it with another unit. After inspection, we confirm the scope of work and the price.
You do not need to bring the vehicle in. Describe the problem and we will help you work out what to remove and send. After inspection, you will receive a quote for approval — only then will we start work.
