Frequently asked questions and answers

Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176 radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module dispatch and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176?

Yes, we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176; we work exclusively on original modules identified by the manufacturer's label. We are an independent workshop and check the removed module you send us.

Is repair worthwhile instead of replacement in the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176?

After you deliver the removed module, we check its condition and present the scope of possible work and an offer; the repair only starts after approval. Based on the inspection results, you decide whether you prefer repair or replacement with another unit.

How is the repair price for the module from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176 calculated?

A preliminary indicative quote is possible based on photos of the unit and a description of the symptoms sent before dispatch. We confirm the exact price after checking the delivered removed module, and the repair starts after your approval.

Do I need to come by car, or can I send the module from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176?

You do not need to come by car – you send just the removed module from anywhere in Poland; you can also deliver it in person by appointment. Before dispatch, we will agree which parts to send and how to secure them for transport.

What should I prepare before registering a module from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176?

When registering, please provide the make, model and year of the car, a description of the symptoms and a photo of the unit and the data label; we will ask for the part number when needed. This will help with the initial quote.

Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176 covers two factory units: Mercedes-Benz NTG4.5 (Melco / Harman Becker / Matsushita) and Mercedes-Benz NTG5.1 Audio 20 (Panasonic) from cars built between 2015 and 2019.

NTG4.5 – what comes in for repair?

Cases relating to this unit include:

  • does not power up: black screen, no response to the power button and silence from the speakers,
  • cyclical restarts with the Mercedes logo,
  • freezing and no response to the buttons,
  • no sound from any source, or crackling in the speakers,
  • a drive that does not recognise discs, and a damaged SD card slot.

NTG5.1 Audio 20 – does not power up

For Audio 20, we repair a fault where the unit will not switch on at all, or shows the logo and restarts endlessly. The screen is black, there is no sound, yet you can hear the device’s fan running. The cause is an internal memory fault.

How do you identify which unit you have?

You do not need to know that. A photo of the unit and the label with the part number is enough – the Audio 20 has the Panasonic logo. Also give the make, model and year of the car, and describe what happens after the ignition is switched on. We check the removed unit and then provide the scope of possible work and the price. Repair starts after your approval. We do not work on Android replacement units fitted in place of the factory equipment.
