Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair for radio, navigation and amplifiers in Chrysler Town and Country V: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Chrysler Town & Country V?
Yes — we repair factory (OEM) radio, navigation and amplifier modules once we receive the removed module. We do not repair Android replacements; we verify originality from the label and ask for a photo of it with the enquiry.
Is it worth repairing the module instead of replacing it in the Chrysler Town & Country V?
An initial quote based on photos and description helps assess whether repairing the factory module from the Chrysler Town & Country V makes sense. Once we receive the removed module, we will confirm the scope of work and the price, and we will repair it only after your approval.
What does the repair quote process look like for the Chrysler Town & Country V?
Initial quote based on photos and description; when submitting an enquiry, please give the make, model and year. Once we receive the removed module, we will check it and provide the final quote and scope of work; the repair will be carried out after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the module from the Chrysler Town & Country V?
You do not need to bring the car in — just send the removed module; in-person drop-off is possible by arrangement. Protect the screen and connectors, place the module in a rigid box with padding, send any additional items separately, and email photos before shipping.
What should I prepare before submitting a module from the Chrysler Town & Country V?
When submitting an enquiry, please give the make, model and year, describe the symptoms and attach a photo of the removed module with the label; also mention any code lock. Based on this, we will give an initial assessment, and once we receive the removed module, we will confirm the final quote and scope of work.
Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in Chrysler Town & Country V covers the factory units fitted to this model. We accept them removed from the vehicle and test them at our workshop bench.
Units supported in the Chrysler Town & Country V
In the Chrysler Town & Country V we repair the factory RHW unit (Harman Becker), i.e. the navigation radio also fitted in Jeep and Dodge vehicles. If you are not sure whether this is your unit, look at the front panel: the RHW marking is printed in the bottom right corner, next to the AUX socket.
How can you tell the fault is in the module?
In the RHW, a fault is indicated by the navigation not working. The radio turns on, and when you try to start navigation with the NAV button, you get the message “Navigation Database Not Detected”, meaning the unit cannot detect the map database. This message may have one of three causes:
- a faulty hard drive on which the maps and navigation data are stored,
- a radio software error,
- faulty main board electronics, due to which the radio cannot see the map drive.
Repair scope and practical information
We cannot attribute the message to just one of these causes without checking the unit, so we confirm the repair scope after inspection. In your enquiry, describe what appears on the screen and attach a photo of the unit and the sticker with the part number. We repair factory modules and do not support Android replacements.
We prepare an initial quote based on photos and your description. We confirm the final scope of work and price after checking the removed module, and begin the repair after your approval.
