Navigation not working in a Chrysler RHW radio? There are 3 reasons for this fault, and we repair each one

As part of the repair of the Jeep Renegade radio, navigation and amplifier, we deal, among other things, with the VP2 (Continental) unit – the factory radio-navigation system from around 2014–2021. We work on the module removed from the car.
Radio restarts and frozen reverse camera
In enquiries about the Renegade, two descriptions come up: the radio resets again and again, making navigation unusable, and the reverse camera image freezes on the previous frame. Both symptoms may indicate a fault inside the VP2. The same applies to a stop on the logo screen, a black screen while the radio is playing, and silence in the speakers despite the screen working.
Scope of work for VP2: more than just freezing
In addition to start-up faults in these units, we also carry out:
- unlocking the VP2 radio,
- software updates for the unit,
- repair after a broken display or damaged touch panel.
We test the unit on the bench before and after repair.
What should you prepare for submission?
State the car’s year, describe the symptom and attach a photo of the radio front and the label from the top of the casing – it shows the VP2 designation and variant number. If the radio is asking for a code, mention it straight away. Based on this, we will prepare an initial quote. We confirm the exact price after checking the module, and we start the repair after your approval. We do not accept Android radio-navigation units fitted in place of the factory unit.

Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers for Jeep Renegade: enquiry, module shipment and quote.
The radio in the Jeep Renegade keeps restarting — is the fault in the radio itself?
Repeated restarts may indicate an internal fault in the factory radio-navigation unit, but a similar symptom can also be caused by unstable power supply in the car. This is determined by testing the removed module on the bench.
The reverse camera image freezes in the Jeep Renegade — can you repair it?
A frozen reverse camera image is one of the symptoms that may indicate a fault in the factory radio. Describe when the image freezes and attach a photo of the unit and the label on the casing.
Will you unlock the factory radio from the Jeep Renegade that is asking for a code?
Yes, unlocking these units is part of our work. Please note in your booking that the radio is asking for a code, and attach a photo of the label on the top of the casing.
Does a cracked radio screen in the Jeep Renegade qualify for repair?
Yes. For these units we also deal with the effects of mechanical damage, namely a broken display and a damaged touchscreen panel. Send a photo of the front of the unit for an initial quote.
How do you test a Jeep Renegade radio without the car?
We test the removed unit on the bench, before and after repair. We do not need the car, and removal and refitting of the radio should be carried out by a local workshop.
