Mercedes-Benz CL C216 radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module dispatch and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Mercedes-Benz CL C216?

Yes, we repair only original factory units from the Mercedes-Benz CL C216; the customer sends us the removed module, and we test it in our workshop. We do not accept replacements fitted in place of factory equipment.

Is it worth repairing the module instead of replacing it in the Mercedes-Benz CL C216?

Whether repair is worthwhile in the Mercedes-Benz CL C216 depends on the condition and completeness of the unit; we provide an initial quote based on the description and photos of the removed module. We confirm the exact price after inspection and will carry out the repair once you approve it.

How is the repair quote prepared for the Mercedes-Benz CL C216?

An initial quote for the Mercedes-Benz CL C216 is given based on the description and photos of the removed module sent before dispatch. We determine the exact price after checking the unit and will carry out the repair once you approve it.

Do I need to bring the car in, or send the module from the Mercedes-Benz CL C216?

You do not need to bring the car in; you send only the removed module from the Mercedes-Benz CL C216 or deliver it in person by arrangement. Protect the screen and connectors, place the module in a rigid box with padding, and pack any additional parts separately.

What should I prepare before reporting a fault in the Mercedes-Benz CL C216?

When reporting a Mercedes-Benz CL C216, please send a short description of the fault, the year, and a photo of the front and the sticker from the removed module. Also tell us whether the module has been opened, damaged or flooded; once we receive the photos, we will advise you on the next steps.

Mercedes-Benz CL C216 radio, navigation and amplifier repair covers three factory units: the Mercedes-Benz Logic7 amplifier (Harman Becker) and the Mercedes-Benz NTG3 and NTG3.5 units (Harman Becker).

Which modules do we service in this model?

The scope is as follows:

  • Mercedes-Benz Logic7 (Harman Becker) – model years 2005–2013,
  • Mercedes-Benz NTG3 (Harman Becker) – model years approx. 2005–2009,
  • Mercedes-Benz NTG3.5 (Harman Becker) – model years approx. 2009–2013.

The NTG3 unit has no built-in radio or amplifier – these functions are handled by the Logic7 fitted in the boot.

Symptoms: unit or amplifier?

NTG3 comes to us when it does not turn on, keeps resetting, or freezes on the logo. In NTG3.5 we repair no start and resets after a short period of operation, a drive that takes the disc in but does not play it, and navigation that stops on the loading screen after selecting NAVI.

No sound from the speakers, crackling and no radio stations point to the Logic7 amplifier. Its failure is also accompanied by a message that the device is unavailable and a battery that drains.

What should you prepare for submission?

Describe the fault and attach a photo of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number. Let us know whether the module has been opened, flooded or mechanically damaged. After receiving the description and photos, we initially assess which module may be causing the problem, and after inspecting the removed unit we present the scope of work and the price. We do not repair Android replacements.
