The radio works, but there is no sound from the speakers
The following indicate damage to the AMP-80 amplifier:
- no sound from any speaker, while the radio, navigation and phone connection work,
- sound that plays for a moment and then disappears,
- a loud bang when the ignition is switched off, or crackling even with the radio turned off,
- a fuse blowing after the amplifier is connected,
- the battery draining while parked because the amplifier does not go into sleep mode.
These faults are caused by moisture under the seat or a voltage spike when the car is started using a booster.
