How to identify the Clarion PS-4270B radio?
This is a touchscreen unit. Identification details are on the white label on the top of the casing, visible once the radio has been removed from the dashboard.
Three stages of code lock
The radio has anti-theft protection and after a power interruption it asks for a code. What you see on the screen shows which stage the lock is at:
- “Enter Security PIN” – numeric keypad, the radio is waiting for the code,
- “Wrong Security PIN. Please try again” – warning about the remaining attempt,
- “System is locked. Contact your dealer” – the keypad disappears, the lock is complete.
Until the code is entered, the radio, navigation, Bluetooth, USB, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay do not work. Disconnecting the power does not clear the lock. If you see a warning about the final attempt, do not enter another code.
Enquiry and other faults
In your enquiry, state which message is on the screen and what happened before it appeared: after battery replacement, power disconnection or buying the car. Attach a photo of the screen and label. For the PS-4270B we also deal with no sound, screen freezing and Bluetooth problems. We check the removed radio, and provide an initial quote based on photos and a description. We do not repair Android replacements.
