Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of KIA Optima IV radios, navigation units and amplifiers: enquiry, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in KIA Optima IV?

Yes, we inspect and repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from KIA Optima IV, provided it is an original module identifiable by the sticker. You send the removed module to our workshop or deliver it in person by prior arrangement.

Is repairing KIA Optima IV worthwhile instead of replacing it with a new or used unit?

Repair makes sense when the fault lies in the factory module and, after repair, the unit will regain the functions matching the equipment of KIA Optima IV; after inspection we will present the scope and price. We do not repair Android replacements, and originality is confirmed by the sticker.

How is the repair quote for a KIA Optima IV module prepared?

An initial quote is possible based on photos of the module and a description before sending it; we will also ask for the make, model and year. We confirm the exact price after checking the removed module, and we will carry out the repair only after your approval.

Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the removed KIA Optima IV module?

You do not need to bring the car in – you can send the removed module from anywhere in Poland or deliver it in person to the workshop by prior arrangement. Protect the screen and connectors, use a rigid cardboard box and padding; removal and refitting should be entrusted to a workshop.

What should I prepare before registering the KIA Optima IV module with the workshop?

Before sending it in, prepare the car make, model and year, a description of the fault, a photo of the removed module and a photo of the rating label with the part number. If the module has been replaced before, mention this in your request; we will ask for the part number if it is needed.

Repair of the KIA Optima IV radio, navigation and amplifier applies to the factory Kia IAH7202JFNG (LG / Hyundai Mobis) navigation unit with part number 96560-D4DA1WK.

How do I confirm the navigation model?

The IAH7202JFNG model and part number are shown on the unit label. Compare them with your label or send us a photo of it – we will confirm whether it is the correct unit.

The navigation works, but there is no sound

We repair the audio circuit fault in this unit. The navigation starts up normally and can be operated, but there is silence in the speakers regardless of the source: radio, media or navigation prompts. The second symptom is that the radio cannot be tuned – the unit cannot find any station, even the strongest one nearby. The cause is components in the audio circuit that have lost their values.

Freezing on the startup logo is a different fault. If this happens to you, describe it in your enquiry.

What should I provide and how do we assess the unit?

Tell us whether the silence affects all sources and whether the radio searches for stations. Give the make, model and year of the car and attach photos of the unit and the label. If the navigation has been replaced with another unit, state this. Based on the photos and description, we give an initial, indicative quote. We check the removed unit and confirm the fault, then present the scope of work and the exact price. We carry out the repair after your approval. We work on factory units; we do not repair Android replacements fitted in their place.
