Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers Volkswagen CrossPolo V: submission, module dispatch and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Volkswagen CrossPolo V?

Yes, we repair factory audio and navigation modules from the Volkswagen CrossPolo V; we do not carry out repairs on Android replacement units. We are an independent workshop; you send us the removed module, we inspect it and confirm the scope and price.

Is it worth repairing the modules instead of replacing them in the Volkswagen CrossPolo V?

You decide whether to repair rather than replace after the initial quote and once the removed module has been checked; we confirm the cost and scope after inspecting the unit. We repair only original modules.

How is the quote for repairing a module for the Volkswagen CrossPolo V worked out?

We prepare an initial, indicative quote based on the photos and description you send before dispatching the module. We agree the exact price and scope after checking the removed module, and only start the repair after your approval.

Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the module from a Volkswagen CrossPolo V?

You do not need to bring the car in — send only the removed module, or deliver it by arrangement. Protect the screen and connectors, pack it in a rigid box with padding; place any additional parts separately, and leave removal and refitting to the workshop.

What should I prepare before submitting a Volkswagen CrossPolo V module?

When submitting, provide the make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and a photo of the removed module with the nameplate label. Based on the photos, you will receive an initial quote; we will agree the price and scope after checking the module, and you should leave removal and refitting to the workshop.

Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier Volkswagen CrossPolo V covers the factory units fitted in this Polo generation: RNS315 and MIB STD2 PQ.

Which units do we service in the Volkswagen CrossPolo V?

In the CrossPolo V, we repair the factory radio-navigation units used in the Polo V: RNS315 (TechniSat) and MIB STD2 PQ (TechniSat / Preh). Which one you have will be confirmed from the part number on the label on the unit.

How can you tell the problem may be in the module?

For MIB STD2 PQ we repair touchscreen faults: the screen responds only over part of its surface, part of the keypad does not respond, or the radio switches functions by itself, as if someone were constantly pressing the screen. With RNS315 the symptoms are different:

  • the message "Please insert software CD!" or the "Software Update" screen appears immediately after switching on,
  • the unit does not switch on, freezes or resets,
  • no response to the NAVI button,
  • a request for a code you do not have.

When does repair make sense and what do we need from your enquiry?

We repair factory modules; we do not accept Android replacement units. In your enquiry, provide the car make, model and year, describe what happens when the unit is switched on, and attach a photo of the front and the label with the part number.

Based on the photos and description, we prepare an initial, indicative quote. Once delivered to the workshop, we inspect the removed module, confirm the repair scope and price, and start work after your approval. We test the repaired unit before returning it.
