Frequently asked questions and answers

Alfa Romeo GT radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module posting and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation unit and amplifier in the Alfa Romeo GT?

Yes, we repair the factory radio, navigation unit and amplifier from the Alfa Romeo GT once we receive the removed module. We accept units sent by post from all over Poland or in person by arrangement.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing in the Alfa Romeo GT?

It depends on the extent of the damage and the possibility of restoring the original module’s functions in the Alfa Romeo GT; after checking the removed module we will present the scope of work. We will provide an initial quote based on photos and a description before shipping, and the final one after inspection.

What does a radio repair quote in the Alfa Romeo GT look like?

An initial, indicative quote for repairing a module from the Alfa Romeo GT is possible based on a photo of the front, the part-number label and a short description of the fault before shipping. We will confirm the price after checking the removed module and presenting the scope of work.

Can I send in the removed module from an Alfa Romeo GT, or should I deliver it in person?

You can send the removed module from an Alfa Romeo GT from anywhere in Poland, or deliver it in person by prior arrangement. Pack the module in a rigid box, protect the screen and connectors; send photos and a description before posting.

What should I prepare before sending in the removed module from an Alfa Romeo GT?

When submitting the removed module from an Alfa Romeo GT, provide the make, model and year, plus a short description of the symptoms and a photo of the front of the module with the data label. Please note if the Master Code Request message appears; we will ask for the part number if needed.

Radio and navigation repair for the Alfa Romeo GT covers the factory units fitted in this model, as well as checking the removed module against the reported symptoms.

What equipment do we service in the Alfa Romeo GT?

In the Alfa Romeo GT we service the following factory units:

  • Alfa Connect (Bosch / Blaupunkt),
  • Connect / RNS4 (Bosch),
  • Connect NAV and Connect NAV+ (Magneti Marelli).

How can you tell the fault is in the module?

In Bosch units — Alfa Connect and Connect / RNS4 — the problem concerns the display: dead pixels or bands appear, and over time entire rows and columns of the image disappear. In Connect NAV and Connect NAV+ navigation units, the symptom is the “Master Code Request” screen with a field for a four-digit code. It appears shortly after the ignition is turned on, when the unit has lost power or has been fitted to a car with a different chassis number from the one stored in its memory.

Scope of repair and important information

We only inspect removed units — once we receive the module, we diagnose it and set out the scope of work. For an initial, indicative quote, photos of the front and the label with the part number, plus a short description of the fault, are enough. We do not repair replacements fitted instead of original units, such as Android radio-navigation systems.

If the “Master Code Request” message appears, please note it in your enquiry and say whether the navigation unit comes from this car. For a display fault, say whether the radio has been repaired before. We will present the scope of work for approval after checking the unit.

Please also provide the car make, model and year — this helps identify the unit version.
