Frequently asked questions and answers
Ford C-Max I radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from a Ford C-Max I?
Yes - we repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers from Ford C-Max I, provided the unit is original and identified by the part-number label. You send the removed module to our workshop, not the whole car.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing in a Ford C-Max I?
Whether repairing a module from a Ford C-Max I is worthwhile depends on the condition of the removed module and the extent of the damage, which we will assess after inspecting the unit. Before sending it, you will receive an approximate quote based on photos and a description, and the final one after the unit has been checked.
How is a repair quote for a Ford C-Max I module prepared?
Before sending it, you will receive an approximate quote based on photos, a description and the car details. After inspecting the removed module, we will provide an exact offer and proceed with the repair only after your approval.
Do you need to bring the car in, or send the removed module from a Ford C-Max I?
You do not need to bring the car in - send the removed module by courier from anywhere in Poland, or deliver it in person by prior arrangement. Make sure the screen and connectors are protected, use a rigid box and packing material, and send any additional parts separately.
What should you prepare before submitting a module from Ford C-Max I?
Before submitting a module from Ford C-Max I, please provide the car’s make, model and year, plus a precise description of the symptoms. Attach a photo of the front and the rating label, and say whether the removed module had been swapped or repaired before.
Ford C-Max I radio, navigation and amplifier repair covers service of the factory navigation units for this model, which we accept removed from the car.
Which factory units do we service in Ford C-Max I?
In this model we service the factory Ford CD132 – NAV. Module (Denso) and Ford FX – LSRNS (Blaupunkt / Bosch). Denso has a touchscreen display linked to the radio section and a separate GPS module; FX is a navigation unit with a small display and no touchscreen function.
How can you tell the problem may be in the module?
On the Denso navigation unit, signs of a fault may include: a black screen and no start-up, a panel showing numbers only instead of the radio screen or code screen, no station tuning, or a situation where the radio rejects the correct code after multiple incorrect attempts. FX – LSRNS navigation starts with not powering up when the key is turned and only starts with the button; over time it stops starting altogether, and a faulty unit can flatten the battery overnight.
What does repair viability depend on, and what should you report?
The scope of repair depends on the condition of the supplied, removed module and on what its inspection confirms. Before submitting, prepare:
- a photo of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number,
- a precise description of how it behaves after the ignition is switched on,
- information on whether you have the radio code and whether the module has been swapped or repaired before.
We repair only factory units identified by the part-number label; Android replacements are not accepted. After inspection, we present the proposed scope of work and ask for your approval before starting.
