Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers KIA Picanto III: booking in, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in KIA Picanto III?
Yes – we repair factory radio-navigation units and amplifiers from KIA Picanto III. We accept the removed module by post from anywhere in Poland, or you can deliver it in person to the workshop by prior appointment.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing the unit in KIA Picanto III?
Repair makes sense when the fault affects parts of the removed module and its OEM functions can be restored. Before sending it, we will give you an initial quote based on photos and a description; we will confirm the price and approval after checking the module.
How is the quote for repairing a module for KIA Picanto III prepared?
Before sending, provide the car make, model and year, plus a description of the symptoms and photos of the front and the sticker; on this basis we will prepare an initial quote. Once we receive and inspect the removed module, we will confirm the price and ask for your approval for the repair.
Do you need to come in with the car, or can you send the removed module from KIA Picanto III?
You do not need to come with the car – send the removed module by courier or deliver it in person to the workshop by appointment. Before sending, provide the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms and photos of the front and the module sticker; pack the module securely.
What should you prepare before booking in a module from KIA Picanto III?
Before booking in, provide the car make, model and year, describe the symptoms and attach photos of the front and the module sticker; mention if it has been flooded or repaired. You do not need to know the radio model – we will ask for the part number if needed, and we will assess the module once it arrives.
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier KIA Picanto III covers the factory Kia / Hyundai LAN6200 (LG) touch-screen unit, marked LAN6200EKJA and part number 96550-G6420FHV.
The screen lights up, but does not respond to touch
This is the fault with which LAN6200 comes to our workshop. The screen displays the image, but does not respond to any commands. The problem is constant – it does not depend on temperature or how long the radio has been running.
Why doesn’t replacing the screen help?
The first suspicion falls on the display. However, if after replacing it the touch still does not work, the touch panel is fine and the cause lies on the main board: the connections between the processor and the screen connector are broken. It can also be the other way round – the touch panel itself is faulty. That is why we do not assume the cause in advance; we check it.
How do we test LAN6200?
We connect a working touch panel to the removed unit. If touch starts working, the screen is faulty; if not, the main board is. We provide the result together with the price and scope of work, and we carry out the repair after your approval. Before sending it back, we test the unit.
In your booking, provide the car make, model and year, describe the screen behaviour and say whether it has already been replaced. Attach a photo of the front and the sticker with the part number – this allows the unit version to be confirmed. If the radio has been flooded or repaired, please note this. We do not repair units fitted instead of the factory unit, for example Android units.
