Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in Suzuki Vitara IV (LY) covers the factory Bosch SLDA system from model years approx. 2015–2022. The abbreviation stands for Smartphone Linkage Display Audio.

Where the SLDA lock comes from

The system allows you to turn on anti-theft protection and set your own PIN code. When the function is active, after every power disconnection – even when replacing the battery – the screen asks for the code. After 5 incorrect attempts, the unit locks completely and displays “System has been locked. Contact your dealer”. From that point on, the code can no longer be entered.

What we do with a locked unit

We repair SLDA units that no longer allow the code to be entered. After repair, you can set your own PIN in the navigation again or change it. Only the removed unit is sent to the workshop; we do not need the car, and the removal is arranged with your mechanic on site.

Enquiry for the Vitara IV

For an initial quote, send:

  • the car’s year,
  • a photo of the screen with the message,
  • a photo of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number,
  • information on what event the code request appeared after.

If your Vitara has a different problem with the factory radio, navigation or amplifier, describe what happens after switching it on. Quotes based on photos are indicative. We confirm the exact price after checking the module, and we start the repair only after your approval. We do not repair Android replacements.

Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of Suzuki Vitara IV radios, navigation systems and amplifiers: enquiry, module shipping and quote.

What does “System has been locked. Contact your dealer” mean in the Vitara IV?

This message appears in the SLDA system after five incorrect PIN entry attempts. The unit then locks completely and will no longer allow the code to be entered.

Why does the radio in the Suzuki Vitara IV ask for a PIN after the battery has been changed?

Because anti-theft protection using a PIN code has been enabled in the system. When the function is active, after every power disconnection the screen asks for the code previously set by the user.

After repairing the radio from the Vitara IV, will I be able to set a new code?

Yes. After the locked unit has been repaired, the code function is still available – you can set your own PIN again or change it to another one.

I don’t remember the code, but the radio in the Vitara still lets me enter it – what should I do?

Don’t guess the code. After five incorrect attempts, the system will lock completely. Describe the situation in your enquiry and attach a photo of the screen, and we’ll reply with how we can help.

What should be sent to the workshop for a locked system in the Vitara IV?

Just the removed unit; we do not need the car. Beforehand, send the car’s year, a photo of the screen with the message, and a photo of the sticker with the part number – we’ll prepare an initial quote.
