Frequently asked questions and answers
Mercedes-Benz W221 radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module dispatch and quote.
Do you repair factory units from the Mercedes-Benz W221 model?
Yes, we accept the original radio, navigation and amplifier from this model. We identify factory units by the sticker with the manufacturer logo and part number.
How do I know which module to remove?
Before you remove anything, describe the fault and send photos of the front panel and the sticker. Based on that, we will advise which unit should be sent to us.
How many stages does the repair of a module from Mercedes-Benz W221 have?
First you send us the photos and receive an initial quote, then you post the module and we check it. We start the repair after you confirm the exact price and approve it, and at the end we send the unit back.
Do you handle removal of units from the car?
No, you arrange removal and refitting on site. We check and repair the module itself, which you send by courier from anywhere in Poland.
Will you repair an Android radio fitted in place of the factory unit?
No, we do not accept replacements fitted in place of the original radio. We repair only factory units that can be identified by the sticker with the part number.
The Mercedes-Benz W221 radio, navigation and amplifier repair at OEMatic concerns original units fitted in this model by the manufacturer. We repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier; the car stays with you, and only the module comes to us.
Which module should you send for inspection?
Radio, navigation and amplifier are separate units, so before you remove anything, describe the fault and send us photos. Based on the description, the photo of the front panel and the rating label, we will determine which module should be sent to us. Also tell us whether the fault concerns the image, sound or power-up of the unit, and whether it appears all the time or only in certain situations. You do not need to know the model name of the radio; we will ask for the part number if needed.
Repair process step by step
The whole repair is carried out remotely and looks like this:
- enquiry with the car year, description of the fault and photos,
- an initial, indicative quote before dispatch,
- sending the removed module from anywhere in Poland,
- inspection of the unit and confirmation of the exact price,
- repair after your approval and sending the module back.
Factory module or replacement?
We accept only factory units, which we identify by the sticker with the manufacturer logo and part number. We do not repair Android radio-navigation units or other replacements fitted instead of the original. You arrange removal and refitting on site, because we check the unit itself, not the car. If the module has been opened or repaired before, please mention this in your enquiry.
