Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of Ford C-Max II radios, navigation systems and amplifiers: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Can I remove the radio from my Ford C-Max II and send it straight away?
It is better to first describe the symptoms and send photos. We decide which parts to send before removal, because if there are sound problems we may also need the amplifier.
What photos of the C-Max radio are needed?
A photo of the unit or its panel, and a photo of the rating sticker with the part number. Together with the car’s model year and a description of the symptoms, they allow us to prepare an initial, indicative estimate.
Do you repair the Android multimedia unit in the C-Max?
No, we do not repair replacements fitted in place of factory units. We accept original radios, navigation systems and amplifiers, which we identify by the sticker on the casing.
What happens to the module after it is delivered to the workshop?
We check the device you send us and confirm the exact repair price. We only begin work after your approval, and until then only the initial, indicative estimate applies.
Do I have to bring the Ford C-Max II to the workshop?
No, we inspect the removed module, not the car. You send the unit by courier or deliver it by prior arrangement, and you leave removal and refitting to a local workshop.
Before you take anything out of the dashboard, write to us: Ford C-Max II radio, navigation and amplifier repair starts with establishing which unit actually needs to be removed.
First agree the details, then remove it
After the description of the symptoms and the photos, we indicate which factory module we want to see. In some cases, when there is a sound problem, two items are needed, the radio and the amplifier, because the description does not show which one is at fault. That is why the order is fixed: enquiry, agreement of scope, and only then removing the module from the C-Max.
What to include in your enquiry
We need the car’s year, a description of the fault and photos: the unit or panel and the sticker with the part number. Describe whether the radio powers up, what the screen shows, whether there is sound and whether the symptom is constant. Also tell us how long the fault has been present. You do not need to know the radio model name. The sticker also lets us confirm whether the module is factory-fitted – we do not repair Android units fitted instead of the original one.
What we do with the module you send us
Before you remove it, you’ll receive an initial, indicative quote. When the unit reaches us:
- we check it in our workshop,
- we confirm the exact price,
- we wait for your approval and only then repair it.
Our check concerns the module. We do not assess the power supply or wiring in the car, and removing and refitting the unit remains your responsibility.
