Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifiers in BMW G11/G12: enquiry, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the BMW G11/G12?

Yes, we accept factory modules from BMW G11/G12 once they have been removed from the car. We do not deal with replacements fitted in place of the original unit, for example Android radio-navigation units.

In BMW G11/G12 there is no sound – should you send the radio or the amplifier?

That cannot be determined in advance, so with sound issues we may ask for both units. Which parts to send is agreed with you before removal, based on the symptom description.

Do I need to know the name of the audio system in my car?

No, the make, model and year of the car, a description of the symptoms, and a photo of the unit and the data label are enough. We will only ask for the part number if it is needed for assessment.

When will I know the price of repairing a module from BMW G11/G12?

We give an initial, approximate quote based on photos and the description before you send the module. We confirm the exact price after inspecting the unit, and only after your approval do we start the repair.

Do you also check the power supply and wiring in the car itself?

No, we only check the supplied module, not the car. Power measurements in the car, as well as removing and refitting the unit, are handled by the workshop that has the car on site.

Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in BMW G11/G12 is carried out by us on the removed factory module. Before anything is taken out of the car, we agree with you which unit is involved.

Radio, navigation or amplifier – what should be sent to us

The fault determines which module is needed. With sound issues, it is not always clear in advance whether the radio or the amplifier is to blame, so we may ask for both units. Which parts are needed is agreed before removal – do not take out modules unnecessarily.

Fault description that helps us

You do not need to know the name of the factory system. The information you have to hand is enough:

  • the year of the car and exactly what has stopped working,
  • whether the fault is constant or appears from time to time,
  • what can be seen on the screen and whether sound is coming from all speakers,
  • a photo of the unit or panel and the sticker with the part number.

If we need the part number itself, we will ask for it separately.

What happens after the module is delivered

You receive an initial, approximate quote even before the module reaches us, based on the description and photos. We check the delivered unit on the test bench and only then confirm the exact price. We start the repair after your approval. We do not assess the car or its wiring, and we do not accept Android replacements fitted in place of the factory unit.
