Repair of KIA Rio IV radio, navigation and amplifiers: booking, module shipment and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in KIA Rio IV?
Yes – we repair factory KIA Rio IV modules identified by the sticker; we do not repair replacements fitted instead of the original units. We inspect and repair only the removed module, which you can send in or bring to our workshop.
Is it worth repairing a KIA Rio IV instead of replacing it?
Whether it is worthwhile depends on the condition of the factory KIA Rio IV module; before you send it, we will provide an approximate quote based on photos and a description. After checking the removed module, we will confirm the scope of work and the exact price, and carry out the repair once you approve it.
How is the radio repair quoted in KIA Rio IV?
Send us a photo of the panel and the sticker, and describe the symptoms; you will receive an approximate quote before sending the KIA Rio IV module. After checking the removed unit, we will confirm the scope of work and the exact price, and repair it after your approval.
Do I need to come in with the KIA Rio IV car, or send the removed module?
You do not need to come in with the car – you send only the removed module from your KIA Rio IV, or you can deliver it in person by appointment. Before sending, protect the screen and connectors, place it in a rigid cardboard box with padding; removal and refitting should be carried out by a workshop.
What should I prepare before sending a module from KIA Rio IV?
Please provide the make, model and year of your KIA Rio IV, describe the symptoms, and attach a photo of the panel and the sticker on the removed module. Based on this, you will receive an approximate quote before sending it, and after inspection we will confirm the scope of work and the exact price.
Repair of KIA Rio IV radio, navigation and amplifier applies to the factory Kia / Hyundai LAN6200 (LG) unit, marked LAN6200EKYB and part number 96550-H8100FHV.
How to identify the LAN6200 unit?
LAN6200 is a family of touch-screen radio-navigation units, with versions differing by number. You can read the model designation and part number from the unit label. If you are not sure, send a photo of the label.
Symptom: touch has stopped working
In the LAN6200 we repair a screen that does not respond to touch. The fault is described by three features:
- the screen displays an image, but does not respond to any commands,
- the problem is permanent and does not depend on temperature or operating time,
- replacing the screen with another one does not restore touch.
The last feature means that the touch panel is working, and the damaged parts are the connections on the unit’s main board.
Repair scope and decision
After receiving the removed unit, we connect a working touch panel to it and determine whether the screen or the main board needs repairing. We then present the scope of work and the price for approval. In your enquiry, please provide the car make, model and year, describe when the touch stopped working, and say whether the screen has been replaced. Attach a photo of the front and the label. We provide an initial, approximate quote based on photos and a description. We repair factory units identified by the sticker with the part number; we do not accept Android replacements.
