Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers in Jeep Patriot: enquiry, module shipment and estimate.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation unit and amplifier from a Jeep Patriot?
Yes – we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Jeep Patriot; we work only on original modules identified by the sticker. Send the removed module to the workshop, where we will inspect it and present the scope of repair.
Is repairing a Jeep Patriot module worthwhile instead of replacing it?
We decide whether repair is worthwhile after inspecting the removed module, because it depends on the extent of the damage and the condition of the electronics. Before you send it, you will receive an initial quote based on photos, and the final one after the device has been checked.
How is the repair quote for a Jeep Patriot module prepared?
We prepare an initial quote for a Jeep Patriot module based on photos and a description; please provide the make, model, year and a photo of the front panel and sticker before sending it. We will confirm the final price after inspecting the removed module, and carry out the repair after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the Jeep Patriot module?
You do not need to bring the car in — send the removed Jeep Patriot module from anywhere in Poland, or deliver it by appointment. Protect the screen and connectors, place the module in a rigid box, fill any empty spaces, and pack any additional parts separately.
What should I prepare before submitting a Jeep Patriot module?
Before submitting a Jeep Patriot module, provide the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and photos of the front of the unit and the rating sticker. Add a description of its behaviour after the ignition is switched on; we will agree which parts to send before removal.
Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Jeep Patriot applies to factory units, which we test in the workshop after they have been removed from the car.
Which devices do we service in the Jeep Patriot?
In the Jeep Patriot model, we repair the factory radio with RHW navigation (Harman Becker), also fitted in Chrysler and Dodge vehicles. The RHW name is printed on the front panel, in the lower right corner.
How can you tell if the RHW radio has a fault?
RHW units come in for repair with the navigation not working. The fault follows one pattern:
- the radio is switched on,
- when NAV is pressed, the message “Navigation Database Not Detected” appears instead of the map,
- the message is persistent, so the navigation cannot be used.
The cause may be a damaged hard drive with the maps, a software fault, or the main board electronics failing to detect the drive.
Repair scope and practical information
We check the removed module supplied and determine which cause is confirmed; the repair scope depends on this and on the condition of the electronics. In the fault description, please give the exact wording of the message and say whether the navigation stopped working suddenly or after replacing or updating the maps.
When submitting, please send a photo of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number — the number helps identify the module version. We work on original units; we do not repair Android radio-navigation units fitted in place of the factory system. After the repair, we test the unit before sending it back, and we will inform you of the scope of work and the price before starting.
