Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of KIA Carens IV radio, navigation and amplifiers: enquiry, module dispatch and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in KIA Carens IV?

Yes – we repair factory OEM units from KIA Carens IV. We accept and inspect only removed, original modules identified by the label; we do not service Android replacements.

Is repair worthwhile instead of replacement in KIA Carens IV?

You decide whether it is worthwhile after the initial quote – based on photos and a description, we will give you an indicative assessment before dispatch. After inspecting the removed module, we will confirm the scope of work and the exact quote before starting the repair.

How is the repair of the KIA Carens IV module quoted?

Before sending it, please provide the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and a photo of the removed module and its label; based on this, we will give you an indicative quote. After inspecting the module, we will confirm the scope of work and the final quote; we will carry out the repair after your approval.

Do you need to bring the car in, or is it enough to send the KIA Carens IV module?

You do not need to bring the car in – just send the removed module, or deliver it in person to the workshop by appointment. Before sending it, please provide the make, model, year, description and a photo of the module with its label; pack the module with the screen and connectors protected.

What should I prepare before submitting a KIA Carens IV module repair request?

Before submitting the request, provide the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and photos of the removed module and its label; you do not need to know the radio name. If the problem concerns the sound, we may ask for the amplifier or both modules; removal and refitting are carried out by the workshop.

Repair of KIA Carens IV radio, navigation and amplifier covers the factory Kia / Hyundai LAN6200 (LG) radio-navigation unit and Kia / Hyundai AMP-80 (Hyundai Mobis) amplifier.

Module markings in KIA Carens IV

The radio-navigation unit is marked LAN6200EKRP and part number 96550-A4200. The amplifier is version AMP-80RPE with part number 96370-A4100. Both markings can be found on the unit labels.

From the symptom to the correct unit

If the screen shows an image but does not respond to touch, we inspect the LAN6200. In this unit, lack of touch response is constant and does not disappear after replacing the screen alone when the cause is broken connections on the main board.

If the radio and navigation work, but there is no sound from the speakers, we inspect the AMP-80 amplifier. Damage is also indicated by crackling heard with the radio off, a bang when the ignition is switched off, a blowing fuse and a draining battery.

What does the assessment in the workshop look like?

We inspect the removed module. In the LAN6200 we connect a working touch panel to determine whether the fault lies with the screen or the main board. In the amplifier we assess, among other things, signs of moisture, so please tell us whether it has been flooded or opened. We will inform you of the scope of work and the price before repair, and we carry out the work after your approval. We repair factory units, identified by the sticker with the part number; we do not accept Android replacements.
