Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in Hyundai i10 II concerns factory modules removed from the car. For this model we service, among others, the Kia / Hyundai LAN6200 (LG) radio-navigation unit used in model years approx. 2014–2020.
Picture is there, touch does not work – what does this mean in LAN6200?
A touch fault in the LAN6200 unit has a characteristic pattern: the screen shows an image, but does not respond to commands. Three circumstances may point to a problem inside the module rather than in the display itself:
- there is no response to touch at all, despite the image being correct,
- the fault is constant and does not change with temperature or operating time,
- replacing the screen with another one did not change anything.
The cause may lie on the main board, in the connections between the processor and the screen connector, or in the touch panel itself. That is why, once we receive the module, we first establish which of these elements has failed.
How can you confirm it is a radio from the LAN6200 series?
LAN6200 is a family of devices with a similar appearance, differing in part numbers. On the sticker on the housing you will find the model number starting with LAN6200 and the part number described as Part NO. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the sticker – we will confirm the model before repair.
What do we check, and what does the repair depend on?
We check only the supplied module, without the car. We provide an initial, indicative quote based on the symptom description and photos, and confirm the exact price after checking the device. We start the repair only after your approval. We do not repair Android replacements fitted instead of the factory radio.
Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radios, navigation units and amplifiers in Hyundai i10 II: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
The screen in the Hyundai i10 II radio shows the image, but does not respond to touch – what next?
Describe the fault and send a photo of the front and the device sticker. Once we receive the removed module, we determine whether the touch panel or the radio’s main board has failed.
Will replacing the screen alone fix the touch problem in the Hyundai i10 II model?
Not in every case. If the cause lies on the main board, a new screen will not change anything, which is why we first check in the removed module which component is responsible for the lack of touch response.
How can you tell which factory radio Hyundai i10 II has?
The model number and part number are on the sticker on the unit casing. You do not need to know them when booking in – a photo of the sticker is enough, and we will confirm the model before repair.
Do I need to come with the car to have the radio repaired in the Hyundai i10 II model?
No. We inspect the removed module only, which you send by courier or deliver by prior arrangement. You arrange for a workshop on site to remove the radio from the car.
When will I know the cost of repairing the radio in the Hyundai i10 II model?
We give an approximate quote before sending, based on photos and the description. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit and only start the repair after your approval.
