Frequently asked questions and answers
Volkswagen Eos radio, navigation and amplifier repair: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Volkswagen Eos?
Yes — at OEMatic we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from the Volkswagen Eos once the removed module has been delivered. We do not repair substitutes fitted in place of the factory unit; we identify factory equipment by the label.
Is repair in the Volkswagen Eos worth it instead of replacement?
Whether repair in the Volkswagen Eos is worth it can only be assessed after our service checks the removed module. Based on photos we will give an indicative quote, and after inspection we will confirm the exact price and repair the module after your approval.
How is pricing done for the Volkswagen Eos?
An initial quote for the Volkswagen Eos is prepared from the photos of the front and label, plus a description of the symptoms, before shipping. Once we receive the removed module, we will check its condition, confirm the exact price and carry out the repair after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the module from the Volkswagen Eos?
You do not need to bring the car in — send the removed module to OEMatic by courier or deliver it in person by appointment. Before removal, we will agree which parts to send; protect the screen and connectors and pack the module in a rigid cardboard box.
What should I prepare before submitting a Volkswagen Eos module?
When submitting a module from a Volkswagen Eos, prepare a photo of the unit front and label, the car make, model and year, and a brief description of how it behaves when switched on and during operation. You do not need to know the radio model; we will ask for the part number if needed.
Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Volkswagen Eos covers the factory RNS315 radio-navigation and the Dynaudio AMP600 amplifier.
Which units do we service in the Volkswagen Eos model?
We repair the RNS315 radio-navigation (TechniSat), produced around 2010–2015, and the Volkswagen AMP600 amplifier (Dynaudio), which is responsible for the sound in cars with the Dynaudio system. You can identify the amplifier by the AMP600 marking on the rating label, above the barcode.
What symptoms indicate that the problem may be in the module?
In the AMP600 amplifier, the fault starts with crackling and ends in silence. Symptoms we repair include:
- sudden crackling in the speakers, after which the sound initially returns and then disappears completely over time,
- battery drain, because the amplifier draws current while parked,
- no communication with the amplifier during computer diagnostics.
The RNS315 fails differently: it shows the message “Please insert software CD!”, does not switch on, freezes and resets, or does not respond to the NAVI button.
What does the repair scope depend on and what needs to be provided?
We check the factory unit supplied; we do not repair substitutes fitted in its place, such as Android radio navigations. The following are required when submitting:
- a photo of the front of the unit and the label with the part number,
- a brief description of how it behaves when switched on and during operation,
- the car make, model and year; you do not need to know the radio model name.
If you are not sure whether the radio or the amplifier is at fault, we will agree before removal which unit to send. We confirm the exact price after inspection, and carry out the repair after your approval.
