Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers Volkswagen CrossGolf: submission, module dispatch and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Volkswagen CrossGolf?
Yes — at OEMatic we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Volkswagen CrossGolf; you send us the removed module, not the car. We do not repair replacement units; we confirm originality from the nameplate label.
Is it worth repairing in the Volkswagen CrossGolf model instead of replacing the unit?
We determine whether repair is worthwhile after checking the removed module and its completeness at the workshop. After assessment, we will inform you about the repair options and the final offer; repair makes sense when the fault concerns the original electronics.
How is the repair quote for the Volkswagen CrossGolf model worked out?
We prepare an initial quote for the Volkswagen CrossGolf model before the module is sent, based on photos, a description of the symptoms, and the car's make, model and year. After receiving it, we check the module and provide an exact offer; we will carry out the repair after your approval.
Do I have to bring the car in, or can I send the module from a Volkswagen CrossGolf?
You do not need to bring the car in — the module repair is handled by post from anywhere in Poland, and you can also deliver the module in person by prior arrangement. You send only the removed module; removal and refitting in the car are handled by the workshop.
What should I prepare before submitting a module from a Volkswagen CrossGolf?
Before submitting, provide the car's make, model and year, describe the symptoms, and attach a photo of the unit and the rating label with the part number. On this basis we will prepare an initial quote and, if necessary, ask for the part number.
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier Volkswagen CrossGolf covers the factory RNS315 radio-navigation system — the same one used in the Golf Plus.
Which unit do we service in the CrossGolf model?
In the CrossGolf we repair the RNS315 (TechniSat) radio-navigation unit, used in the Golf Plus on which this model is based. The workshop receives the factory module removed from the car.
RNS315 faults we deal with
Some faults in this unit are software-based: the unit does not switch on or does not respond to the power button, freezes and resets, shows the "Software Update" screen after startup, or asks for a code you do not have. The second group are hardware faults:
- the touchscreen does not work or freezes,
- the display is broken,
- the FM or GPS antenna socket has been pulled out,
- the front panel buttons are worn or damaged,
- the unit does not read CDs or SD cards.
What does the scope of repair depend on?
It depends on what the inspection of the supplied unit shows. Before sending it, simply provide the car's make, model and year, describe the symptom, and attach a photo of the unit and the label with the part number – on this basis we will prepare an initial, indicative quote. After receiving the module, we check it, confirm the price and wait for your approval.
We do not service replacements fitted instead of factory units, for example Android-based radio-navigation systems. We identify a factory unit by the label with the part number.
