Which factory devices do we support in the CrossTouran I model?
In the CrossTouran I we repair the RNS315 radio-navigation unit (TechniSat), used in the Touran I range, and the RNS510 (Continental), fitted in the Touran I from 2008. The RNS510 has a large touchscreen and an SD card slot located under the screen.
Symptoms indicating a faulty module
In the RNS510, a power supply fault shows up as sudden bangs and a bass hum in the speakers, a reset loop or a battery draining while parked. The bangs can appear when the door is opened or the key is inserted and are not related to the set volume. The RNS315 comes to us with different symptoms: it does not switch on, freezes and resets, shows the software update screen, does not respond to the NAVI button or has a non-working touchscreen.
When repair makes sense and what to include in your request
We repair original factory modules. We do not repair replacement units fitted in their place, such as Android devices. When requesting a quote, please provide:
- the car make, model and year,
- a description of the symptom – what happens to the sound and screen after switch-on,
- a photo of the front of the module and the label with the part number.
Based on this, we will prepare an initial, indicative quote. Once we receive the removed module, we inspect it and confirm the price. The decision on any further work is yours — we start the repair after you approve the scope.
