Symptoms of Harman Kardon amplifier failure
These amplifiers come to us after contact with moisture or after a power surge when starting the car with a booster pack. The following indicate a fault:
- no sound in the car – including parking sensor signals,
- blown amplifier fuse,
- crackling or whistling from the speakers, or silence in only some of the speakers,
- the message “No audible notifications” on the screen.
Simply drying out a flooded amplifier does not fix the fault, because corrosion on the board continues to spread.
