Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in BMW F32/F33/F82?

Yes – OEMatic repairs the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from BMW F32/F33/F82, provided it is the original module confirmed by the label. We do not repair Android replacements, and the module must be sent in removed.

Is repair worthwhile instead of replacement in BMW F32/F33/F82?

How is the repair quote for a module in BMW F32/F33/F82 prepared?

We give an initial quote for the BMW F32/F33/F82 module after you send photos of the front, the label and a description of the fault. We will confirm the exact price after checking the removed module, and we will carry out the repair only after your approval.

Do I need to bring the module in person or send it from BMW F32/F33/F82?

You do not need to come by car – send the removed BMW F32/F33/F82 module or deliver it in person by arrangement. Removal and refitting are handled by the workshop, and we check the module we receive.

When submitting a BMW F32/F33/F82 module, please send the make, model, year, a brief description of the symptoms, and photos of the front and the nameplate sticker. We will only ask for the part number if it is needed, and we will provide an initial quote after receiving the photos.

Repair of BMW F32/F33/F82 radio, navigation and amplifier at our workshop concerns the factory BMW Harman Kardon amplifier (Harman Becker) fitted in BMW F32 and F33.

Where does the amplifier fault come from?

The Harman Kardon amplifier is located in the boot. In the 4 Series coupé and cabrio, the boot seals lose their tightness over time and water gets near the amplifier. Another cause of damage is a voltage spike when jump-starting the car from a booster.

How does the fault develop after flooding?

A flooded amplifier does not have to go silent straight away. Sometimes it continues to play for a while, but without sound from one of the speakers. Then crackling and hissing appear, and finally the amplifier fuse blows and the car falls silent: there is no radio, parking sensor or open-door chime. The screen may show the message “No audio notifications”.

What should be included in the submission?

Tell us whether there was water in the boot, whether the amplifier fuse has blown, and whether the silence affects all speakers or only some of them. Also say whether the amplifier has been dried, cleaned or repaired. Attach a photo of the unit and the sticker with the part number. Based on the photos and description we provide an approximate quote; after checking the removed amplifier we confirm the price and ask for approval for the repair. If the condition of the main board does not allow refurbishment, we will offer a repair by replacing the board. We repair factory modules confirmed by the sticker; we do not accept Android replacements fitted in place of the factory radio.
