Which device in the Audi A6 C7 do we repair?
Audi RMC (Delphi) is the radio-navigation system used in the A6 C7, as well as in the Audi A1 and Q3. If the unit still works, you can identify it in the menu: in the system information, the software version starts with “RMC_”. If it does not start, the part number on the sticker on top of the housing remains — send us a photo of it and we will confirm whether it is RMC.
How can you tell that the RMC has a fault?
Describe what you see after switching on the ignition. We repair units that behave in one of three ways:
- no response at all: a dark screen, unlit buttons, silence from the speakers,
- Audi logo on the screen and it stays on the welcome screen – the menu does not appear, and disconnecting the power makes no difference,
- logo, then the screen goes out and starts up again, repeating in a loop.
What does the scope of repair depend on?
It depends on what the inspection of the removed module shows. If the unit has been flooded or someone has opened it before, please mention this in your enquiry. Also provide the car make, model and year, and attach a photo of the front and the sticker with the part number – on that basis we will prepare an initial, approximate quote.
After inspecting the device, we confirm the price and wait for your approval. We repair only factory units – we do not service aftermarket replacements, such as Android radio/navigation systems.
