Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers Peugeot Boxer II: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Peugeot Boxer II?
Yes, we repair factory removed modules from the Peugeot Boxer II identified by the sticker with the part number; we do not repair replacements fitted instead of the original units. Before sending, please send photos of the front panel and the sticker.
Is it worth repairing the Peugeot Boxer II instead of replacing it with a new or used unit?
We assess whether repairing a module from the Peugeot Boxer II is worthwhile after inspecting the removed module; it depends on the condition of the unit and whether the fault lies in the unit itself rather than other vehicle components. After inspection, we will provide an assessment and the scope of work.
How is the repair quote for the Peugeot Boxer II prepared?
We provide an indicative repair quote for a Peugeot Boxer II module before shipping, based on photos of the removed module and a description of the symptoms. We confirm the exact price after checking the unit at our workshop; we carry out the repair only after your approval.
Do I need to come by car or send the module from the Peugeot Boxer II?
You do not need to come by car — send the removed module from the Peugeot Boxer II or deliver it to the workshop by appointment. Before sending, please send the make, model, year, a photo of the panel and the sticker, and a description of the fault; pack the removed module carefully.
What should I prepare before submitting a module from the Peugeot Boxer II?
Before submitting, send the car make, model and year, plus a photo of the front and the sticker on the removed module. Include a description of the symptom (startup, code/password lock); on that basis we will give an indicative quote before shipping.
Repair of the radio and navigation in the Peugeot Boxer II covers the factory VP2 (Continental) and MY250 (Daiichi) units.
Which devices do we support in the Peugeot Boxer II?
In the Peugeot Boxer II model, we come across two factory radios. VP2 (Continental) was used in cars from 2014–2021; the label on the top of the casing shows Continental as the manufacturer and the VP2 designation. MY250 (Daiichi) was fitted in Boxers from 2020 — its label has the Daiichi and Mopar logos.
What symptoms make us check the module as the source of the problem?
Each of these units comes to us with a different fault. In VP2 (Continental), the following may indicate a defect:
- stuck on the logo screen — the screen lights up, but the touchscreen and buttons do not respond,
- repeated spontaneous restarts,
- no backlight on the screen while the radio works,
- frozen reversing camera image or no sound from the speakers.
In MY250 (Daiichi), reports concern the anti-theft lock: after incorrect code entry attempts, the radio displays “WRONG PASSWORD” and a countdown to the next attempt, and in this state it will not accept even the correct code.
When does repair make sense and what does it mean for the factory module?
We repair original modules identified by the sticker with the part number; we do not support Android replacements. The scope of work depends on which unit you have and what the inspection of the removed unit confirms. Please include with your enquiry:
- the car make, model and year,
- a photo of the front of the unit and the label with the part number,
- a description of the symptom or a photo of the message visible on the screen.
After inspection, we will present the scope of work and the price; we start the repair after your approval.
