Do you repair the factory radio and navigation system in the Fiat 500X?

Yes, we repair factory Continental units used in the Fiat 500X. We only test the removed module; we do not accept Android radio-navigation units fitted in place of the factory system.

The radio in the Fiat 500X stops on the logo – is that a fault with the unit itself?

Freezing on the logo screen, where the touchscreen and buttons do not respond, may indicate a fault in the unit. We confirm this after checking the removed radio and then provide the repair scope.

How do you price the repair of the radio in a Fiat 500X?

Before you send it, we provide an indicative quote based on photos of the unit, the label and a description of the symptoms. After checking the module, we confirm the exact price and wait for your approval for the repair.

Can I send the radio from a Fiat 500X by courier?

Yes, you send the removed module only by courier, or deliver it in person by appointment. Before sending, cover the screen and connectors, use a rigid box and fill any empty spaces inside.

What information should I provide when submitting a radio from a Fiat 500X?

Give the year of the car, describe how the radio behaves after the ignition is switched on, and attach photos of the front and the label. Also state whether the module has been swapped or repaired and whether a code message appears on the screen.

Repair of the Fiat 500X radio and navigation applies to factory VP2 units made by Continental, which we accept removed from the car.

Factory units supported in the Fiat 500X

In the Fiat 500X we support VP2 (Continental) from cars from 2014–2021, as well as the newer Fiat VP2 334 (Continental) variant. The 334 version differs from the older one in software changes, DAB digital radio reception and reversing camera support. You can identify the version from the label on the casing.

How can you tell the fault is in the module?

The following symptoms may indicate a fault in the VP2 unit:

  • the radio gets stuck on the logo screen and does not respond to touch or buttons,
  • the system starts up, then restarts — and keeps doing so in a loop,
  • the screen stays black even though the radio is working,
  • the reversing camera image freezes,
  • there is no sound from the speakers, even though the screen and navigation work.

The code issue is separate. If, after fitting the unit in the car, the radio shows “code error” instead of asking for the code, please mention this in the booking together with information on whether the unit comes from the same car.

When does module repair make sense, and what sets a factory module apart from a replacement?

We repair the electronics of the factory module when checking the supplied unit confirms that the fault lies within it. We identify the factory unit by the sticker with the part number; we do not repair Android radios fitted in its place.
