Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of Fiat 500L radios, navigation systems and amplifiers: booking, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio from Fiat 500L?

Yes, we check and repair factory units made by Continental from Fiat 500L. We do not accept replacements fitted instead of the factory radio, and we identify the original by the sticker with the part number.

The radio in Fiat 500L keeps restarting by itself – what should I do?

In your enquiry, describe how long after switching on the restart occurs and whether the menu is visible beforehand. Self-restarts may indicate a fault in the unit, which we confirm after checking the removed module.

What determines the cost of repairing the radio in a Fiat 500L?

The price depends on the faults found in the unit. You receive an initial, indicative quote before sending, based on photos and a description, and we confirm the final price after checking the module, before the repair starts.

Do I need to bring the car in, or is it enough to send the radio from a Fiat 500L?

It is enough to send the removed module by courier; you can also deliver it in person by appointment. Protect the screen and connectors, pack the unit in a rigid box with padding, and place any additional parts separately.

What should I prepare before submitting the radio from a Fiat 500L?

Prepare the make, model and year of the car, a description of the symptoms, and photos of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number. You do not need to know the radio name; just add whether the unit asks for a code.

Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Fiat 500L covers factory VP2 (Continental) units fitted in cars from 2014–2021.

Which units do we service in the Fiat 500L?

In this model we diagnose and repair factory VP2 (Continental) units. VP2 comes in several variants identified by the number on the label; the label is located on the top of the casing and states Continental Automotive and the VP2 model.

Symptoms indicating a module fault

The VP2 fault develops gradually. The radio first occasionally freezes on the logo screen: the display lights up, but neither the touchscreen nor the buttons respond, and only the volume knob works. Over time this happens every time it is started. The second variant is restarts: the system starts, works for a moment and then restarts, cutting off music and the Bluetooth connection. We also see screens without backlighting while the radio is playing, a frozen reversing camera image, and no sound from the speakers while the display works.

What should you provide the workshop team with?

To assess the unit initially, we need a few details from you:

  • the car make, model and year,
  • a description of what happens when the radio is switched on — where it stops and what else responds,
  • photos of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number,
  • information on whether the radio asks for a code.

We repair factory modules identified by the part-number sticker; we do not accept replacements fitted in their place. After checking the removed module, we describe the faults found, give the price and wait for your decision.
